We already have one son, [name_m]Ciaran[/name_m] [name_m]Edison[/name_m]. His middle name is [name_m]Edison[/name_m] to honor his dad, [name_m]Edward[/name_m]. We’ve recently found out that we’re expecting a second son and we want to honor both of his grandfathers, [name_u]Michael[/name_u] and [name_m]John[/name_m]. We don’t want to use their exact names but maybe a variant or something with a similar meaning or sound. We don’t mind which one is the first name and which is the middle name as long as they’re both included. Or maybe we could somehow combine them into one name and use it as the middle. Then we could choose whatever we want for the first name.
[name_m]Ioan[/name_m] [name_m]Mitchell[/name_m]
[name_m]Jackson[/name_m] [name_u]Micah[/name_u]
[name_u]Misha[/name_u] [name_m]Eoin[/name_m]
[name_m]Ewan[/name_m] [name_m]Mikael[/name_m]
Thanks, I like those. [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] [name_u]Micah[/name_u] is my favorite of those names.
[name_m]Ian[/name_m] and [name_m]Ivan[/name_m] are both variations of [name_m]John[/name_m]. I like [name_u]Micah[/name_u] a lot as an honor for [name_u]Michael[/name_u]. I also thought of [name_m]Miles[/name_m] or [name_m]Milo[/name_m] for the prominent “mi-” sound, and it turns out they come from the Slavic milu, which means “gracious.” [name_m]John[/name_m] means “God is gracious.” So [name_m]Miles[/name_m] or [name_m]Milo[/name_m] could, at a stretch, encompass both names.
[name_m]Esmond[/name_m] also comes from a root meaning “grace.”
[name_m]Esmond[/name_m] [name_m]Miles[/name_m]
[name_m]Ian[/name_m] [name_u]Micah[/name_u]
[name_m]Ian[/name_m] [name_m]Milo[/name_m]
[name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_m]Milo[/name_m]
[name_m]Jackson[/name_m] [name_m]Miles[/name_m]
[name_u]Micah[/name_u] [name_m]Esmond[/name_m]
[name_m]Miles[/name_m] [name_m]Ian[/name_m]
[name_m]Miles[/name_m] [name_m]Ivan[/name_m]
[name_m]Miles[/name_m] [name_m]Jackson[/name_m]
[name_m]Milo[/name_m] [name_m]Jackson[/name_m]
I think [name_u]Owen[/name_u] and [name_m]Ciaran[/name_m] would be lovely.
[name_m]Ciaran[/name_m] [name_m]Edison[/name_m] and [name_u]Owen[/name_u] [name_m]Miles[/name_m]
[name_u]Micah[/name_u] [name_u]Shane[/name_u] was my first thought
[name_u]Micah[/name_u] [name_m]Johan[/name_m]
[name_m]Jonas[/name_m] [name_m]Mikhail[/name_m]
[name_m]Mitchell[/name_m] [name_m]Ivan[/name_m]
Thanks, I think [name_m]Miles[/name_m]/[name_m]Milo[/name_m] could work for both names. I like [name_m]Jack[/name_m] or [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] with [name_m]Miles[/name_m] or [name_m]Milo[/name_m]. [name_u]Owen[/name_u] [name_m]Miles[/name_m] and [name_u]Micah[/name_u] [name_u]Shane[/name_u] do with well with [name_m]Ciaran[/name_m] too, I like them together.
[name_m]Jackson[/name_m] [name_m]Miles[/name_m] would make a great brother for [name_m]Ciaran[/name_m]
[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.
I love the name [name_m]Ciaran[/name_m]. I think that a Gaelic form of [name_m]John[/name_m] would be great as a brother to [name_m]Ciaran[/name_m]. [name_m]Iain[/name_m] or [name_u]Evan[/name_u] probably make the most sense. I also like [name_m]Ivan[/name_m], even though it’s not Gaelic like [name_m]Ciaran[/name_m]. [name_u]Micah[/name_u] is a nice mn idea. [name_f]May[/name_f] be nice as a fn too. Or you could always do just [name_m]Jack[/name_m] as a fn.
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.
