If you prefer [name_m]Cillian[/name_m]/[name_m]Killian[/name_m], which spelling do you prefer? We live in [name_u]North[/name_u] [name_u]America[/name_u], so I expect the K option to be easier to manage, but the hard C is the traditional spelling.
[name_m]Cillian[/name_m]/[name_m]Killian[/name_m] is one of my absolute favorites. I think as far as spelling goes, it’s really just a matter of what you prefer. I agree that people might trip over the tradition spelling, but as long as you’re fine with just a quick correction every once in a while, I don’t think it’s that big a deal.
I quite like them both. [name_m]Cillian[/name_m] is one of my nephews & [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] is my doggy nephew. They’re both strong, handsome, sporty & kind sounding names. I like [name_m]Cillian[/name_m] slightly more. My nephew [name_m]Cillian[/name_m] does get ‘sill-ee-in’ sometimes, but people figure it out pretty quickly. I think that the ‘C’ is nicer looking, & worth correcting people occasionally to have the more authentic spelling.
Both are so handsome! I slightly prefer [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] though, because I like its nicknames more. But you can’t go wrong with either! I’d spell it [name_m]Cillian[/name_m], I think the “Kill” part of [name_m]Killian[/name_m] stands out too much.
I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_m]Cillian[/name_m]/[name_m]Killian[/name_m] and I love Cili/Kili is a nn, then again I’m a big nerd who loves The Hobbit so, may just be me lol. I don’t have a preference towards the spelling, I love them both equally so I’d say whichever feels right to you! If the ‘Kill’ part is unappealing or you just prefer the traditional spelling, [name_m]Cillian[/name_m] is a beautiful name! I always associate the [name_m]Killian[/name_m] spelling with [name_m]Captain[/name_m] Hook in Once Upon a Time myself; so to me it carries a more roguish, swashbuckling vibe, which I personally love!
[name_m]Ronan[/name_m] is pretty cool, but I think I prefer the sound of [name_u]Rohan[/name_u] just a little bit more.
