My 1st daughter’s middle name is [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. Would it be weird for me to use [name_f]Clara[/name_f] as a middle name for our new daughter? Help me think this through. Thanks!
I think it’s fine
I find it a little odd since it’s essentially the same name. There are so many great names out there, why not pick something else?
No, I think the sisters would enjoy having that “bond”.
I wouldn’t recommend it but if that’s the middle name you like best and you can’t find anything else you really like then I think you should use it.
I agree with @lavenders. [name_f]Clara[/name_f] is great, but too close to [name_f]Claire[/name_f] for me.
Names like [name_f]Clara[/name_f]/suggestions…
[name_f]Lacie[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucia[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
[name_f]Emily[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Camille[/name_f]
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
[name_f]Coralie[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]
Hm…I know brothers with the exact same middle name, so I do not find this too odd. People may think you named your girls after someone with a Clar- name, so you may have too explain that no, you just really liked the names. And if you were to have another girl, she may feel left out without a Clar- name. But for the most part, middle names go unnoticed so I would not stress too much.
I think it’s fine.
It’s not “wrong” or horrid, but I have to say if I were one of your children I would probably grow up to question it. Oddly, I would consider it less weird if they just had the same middle name, rather than names like [name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f] that are basically the same but not quite.
Since it’s in the middle I think it’s fine.
