Im [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] 30yr old and ALWAYS say my name is [name_f]Clara[/name_f] even though its [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. [name_f]Clara[/name_f] is way more beautiful
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] feels more complete and a tad more classic to me. Both are lovely, though. (I pronounce Clara as Clair-uh)
I like [name_f]Clara[/name_f] pronounced CLAH-RAH, better than [name_f]Claire[/name_f], but [name_f]Claire[/name_f] more than [name_f]Clara[/name_f] pronounced [name_m]CLAY[/name_m]-RAH
I pronounce: CLAH-RAH
I prefer [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. It’s pretty and feminine as well as being sturdy.
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] just doesn’t have the same ‘short, sharp, and sweet’ appeal - it’s trying a lot harder to be sophisticated than [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is.
[name_f]Clara[/name_f], my daughter’s name. We say [name_f]Claire[/name_f] uh.
I chose [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. I don’t have much for [name_f]Clara[/name_f] but it’s probably because I’m used to hear it pronounced in my language.
Hello [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f], what a beautiful name and nice to meet you
Such a beautiful name for your daughter!
I prefer [name_f]Clara[/name_f]. It was my great-grandmother’s name, so I might be a little bit biased. But, I love it.
It is completely understandable!
Both are lovely indeed!
I like [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. (Or [name_u]Clare[/name_u])
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] feels prettier, but weaker to me. [name_f]Claire[/name_f] has the clear, uncompromising, femme but streamlined effect of [name_f]Rose[/name_f] or [name_f]Jane[/name_f] for me - timeless, tailored, fresh and clean, without the short-for-something effect of [name_f]Kate[/name_f].
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]'s… sweet. It’s certainly a real name. [name_m]Just[/name_m] not one for me.
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] is joint #2 on my list! I pronounce it rhyming with car lol.
AHAH lol. so funny it rhymes indeed
