I’m considering changing up my longstanding combo for [name_f]Claire[/name_f] (Claire [name_f]Tirzah[/name_f] Elisabeth), as I’ve been leaning toward promoting [name_f]Tirzah[/name_f] to a first name on my list. Would love to hear any recommendations on a middle for [name_f]Claire[/name_f]! Toying around with [name_f]Claire[/name_f] Vivian/Vivendel, [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Perpetua[/name_f], and [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Vienna[/name_f] the most so far… I like the idea of something long, flowy, and unexpected (like [name_u]Vivendel[/name_u] or Perpetua) with [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. Bonus points if it has some tie to Christianity, even if it’s a bit roundabout (like [name_f]Eliora[/name_f], [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], [name_f]Liliana[/name_f], [name_f]Magdalen[/name_f], which I would’ve considered if I didn’t already use them on my list already).
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Tirzah[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is beautiful but I understand wanting [name_f]Tirzah[/name_f] as a first name too! All of your current options are great.
@eagleeyes - Leah, don’t be TEMPTING me with another Bible place name, Claire Bethlehem is so sweet! I like Claire Christiana, too, if I didn’t already have Adele Petra Christiana. And did you KNOW about my Pasqualina obsession? I feel like this is too convenient a coincidence. I may or may not have considered Claire Pasqualina previously…
@greyblue - thanks, love! I feel like I should LOVE Claire Noemi, it’s so light and unexpected… but I’m not sure it’s quite right. I do like Claire Eulalie, though, and Claire Tamar, again, I should love but it doesn’t seem quit reight. Maybe Claire Tahal instead? Claire Verona is intriguing, will have to give her more thought.
@EdgeOfTheMeadow - aw, thank you! And Claire Shoshana - I do love me a good Hebrew girls’ name! Claire Havilah intrigues me as well. Claire Verena is a maybe. Ironically she’s a character in a novel I’m “working” on lol.
@suzannah - thanks for the idea! Love Ophelia (Violet Maya Ophelia is on my list!) but I’m irrationally avoiding CO initials on the off chance my future hypothetical husband’s last name starts with a W
@somemelodioussonnet - thank you! Claire Glory is super sweet, and Claire Lulu! And Claire Vivi. Will have to consider Lulu and Vivi, I adore them as middles.
You know, I didn’t seriously consider Tahal when I mentioned it, but the more I see Claire Tahal, the more I like it I do love a good Hebrew name next to Claire. I had very nonchalantly considered Tahal Ophelia a while back; which I still really like… I don’t know if I love Claire Tahal Ophelia, though? Maybe something like Claire Tahal Eleanor or Claire Tahal Evangeline. Maybe I should focus especially on Hebrew names with Claire lol.
I feel like I now remember you talking about Pasqualina but I didn’t think of that when I suggested it Just thought it was a pretty, unexpected name with Easter connections! And Adele Petra Christiana is lovely as ever so I understand not wanting Claire Christiana as well.
haha! Yeah, I liked it a while back, I think I considered Eleanor Pasqualina Mary/Claire the strongest, but I feel like I considered Claire Pasqualina too. I feel like I’m more likely to use Claire Perpetua over Claire Pasqualina, but I do like both! But yes, that’s why I love Pasqualina, the Pascal family has ties to both Jewish and Christian holidays (I think Passover and Easter, if I remember right), so it’s meaningful for me, as a very roundabout honor to a dear friend of mine who passed on over a decade ago. She was Jewish, so Pasqualina always reminds me of her. I am not opposed to Claire Bethlehem though, lol, I like that it kind of reminds me of the other French/Christmas names in my immediate family (Marie, Natalie, etc.).
Oh thank you! Eleanor is such a huge favorite, idk if I could use it in the middle… but I do like Claire Tahal Eleanor a lot. Maybe Claire Tahal Isabella or Claire Tahal Emmanuelle or something like that too. I think Tahal is fascinating lol, and could be a nice honor for my sister N@talie.
