And also, which one do you personally prefer and why?
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] feels international, bright, and clear - it’s slightly arty, a little sparkly, with hints of academia and ballet.
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] is sweet but strong, light and timeless, literary and sensible but with a bit of charm and kick too
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] to me feels more homely - she’s dusty pink and bows, old books, sunny mornings. She feels a bit more girl-next-door! Simple but sweet.
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] has something more elegant to her, she makes me think of mauve and emerald green, long dresses, swans, and snowflakes. Understated elegance is what I’d use to describe her!
So to me they’re both classic but [name_f]Clara[/name_f] is sunshine-y classic but [name_f]Alice[/name_f] is gothic classic. I think they’re both great even though I voted for [name_f]Clara[/name_f] (I also think [name_f]Clara[/name_f] is more overused than Alice).
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] sounds sharp, witty and sarcastic. She’s a cinnamon roll.
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] sounds fluffy and soft, a little more head in the clouds. She’s a cream puff.
I think I’m hungry.
I love the name [name_f]Clara[/name_f] pronounced KLAARA which is the pronunciation more commonly used in [name_f]Britain[/name_f] where I am. I think [name_f]Clara[/name_f] is elegant, sparkly, romantic and has a pretty ballerina flair. I think [name_f]Clara[/name_f] is beautiful.
Whereas I’m not keen on [name_f]Alice[/name_f] I just hear and see ‘lice’ also I have really bad personal associations with an [name_f]Alice[/name_f] so the name just doesn’t appeal.
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] seems a little more girly, but in a pretty subdued way, and more cute and bookwormy. [name_f]Alice[/name_f] feels more sophisticated and mature, but also ambitious and energetic. They’re both fairly versatile in terms of vibes though.
