Clara - I slightly prefer [name_f]Clara[/name_f], as it’s more traditional and vintage. It makes me think of [name_u]Doctor[/name_u] Who but that isn’t a bad association.

Cara - Also a pretty name, it means beloved which is a sweet meaning .Makes me think of [name_f]Cara[/name_f] Delvingne which again isn’t a bad association.

I’d think about possible sibling names, if you tend to like vintage names go for [name_f]Clara[/name_f] but if the rest of your name list is more modern go for [name_f]Cara[/name_f].

Both names are lovely

They’re two very pretty names! Personally, I like [name_f]Clara[/name_f] better. It’s more flowy and lyrical, and also seems more complete than [name_f]Cara[/name_f], which seems to be lacking…something.

Both are great names! I slightly prefer [name_f]Clara[/name_f] myself. [name_f]Clara[/name_f] gives me timeless, the nutcracker, almost regal vibes while [name_f]Cara[/name_f] feels more laid back and free spirited so I think depends on which look you’re going for.

They are definitely very difficult despite being so similar on the surface! I adore [name_f]Clara[/name_f] but don’t particularly like [name_f]Cara[/name_f] if I’m being honest. [name_f]Clara[/name_f] feels elegant, so vintage and international whilst to me [name_f]Cara[/name_f] feels… well, somewhat boring.

I really like both, so I’ll give [name_f]Cara[/name_f] a little love–I think it would be pleasantly unexpected on a 2021 baby, and I appreciate the warmth and simplicity of it! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I say [name_f]Cara[/name_f]- I’m not so keen on [name_f]Clara[/name_f]. I don’t dislike it I just wouldn’t use it for my own child.

Cara is currently on our list as either a first name for a possible 3rd girl or as part of [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Cara[/name_f] for a 2nd girl.

(Our first dd is called [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] so you can see what kind of siblings it might lend itself towards IOP).

I prefer [name_f]Cara[/name_f], it’s more youthful. Where I live there isn’t a [name_f]Clara[/name_f] under 60 so it’s a name I associate with older folk.
