I think [name]Clarissa[/name] is better.
I much prefer [name]Clara[/name]. To me, [name]Clara[/name] sounds classy and sweet, while [name]Clarissa[/name] sounds overdone and too frilly. But that’s just my opinion.
I voted for [name]Clara[/name]. [name]Clarissa[/name] is a lovely name but just too frilly for my personal taste.
Thoughts that popped into my head:
[name]Clara[/name] sounds more like a cow than [name]Clarissa[/name].
But then there’s [name]Clara[/name] [name]Barton[/name].
[name]Clarissa[/name] is more name sounding.
But [name]Clara[/name] is shorter and simpler.
[name]Clarissa[/name] is a little frilly.
But not as frilly as [name]Clara[/name] is hard-sounding.
On that note, [name]Clarissa[/name] is softer.
I can’t seem to decide!
I’ll vote for [name]Clarissa[/name], as it was my first gut reaction to the question.
I voted for [name]Clara[/name],it’s recently really grown on me,loving it at the moment!
I voted for [name]Clara[/name]! I have a friend named [name]Clarissa[/name] and she is the sweetest but I agree with what has been said-[name]Clarissa[/name] is too frilly and over the top. [name]Clara[/name] is short, classic, beautiful, and sweet.
[name]How[/name] about Clarimond? It gives you three syllables without making it frilly.
i really like [name]Clara[/name] and am not a big fan of [name]Clarissa[/name] - it seems frilly - a la melissa, marissa etc
[name]Clarissa[/name] doesn’t really do anything for me.
For [name]Clara[/name] it depends on the pronounciation: I know & adore the name with the pn Clah-ruh and consequentially the [name]Claire[/name]-uh pn just sounds wrong to me. I would use the nn [name]Ari[/name] ([name]AH[/name]-rie) assuming you used the Clah-ruh pn.
I prefer [name]Clara[/name] as [name]Clarissa[/name] sounds dated to me. I prefer [name]Clarice[/name] as a [name]Clara[/name] alternative.
[name]Clara[/name]. [name]Clarissa[/name] is unnecessarily frilly.
I love the name [name]Clara[/name]!
[name]Both[/name] names are pretty but I think just the simple [name]Clara[/name] will do. It’s feminine but not frilly.
