Clara?

Hey, berries!

[name_f]Clara[/name_f] is my newest addition to my list. What are your thoughts on it? Which pronunciation do you prefer?
Thank you!

Clara is gorgeous! I say CLAH-ra. I know Americans say CLAIR-ah but I personally feel it loses what makes it special when said this way. That’s just my personal feelings about it though.

I adore [name_f]Clara[/name_f], but only with the “Clah-ra” pronunciation. As an American I can probably never use it, because I can’t stand the way “[name_f]Claire[/name_f]-a” sounds. Never liked the name until I heard the way it was pronounced over the pond, then I fell madly in love with it. It’s such a shame.

I know two Claras and one is pronounced clah-ra and one is pronounced claire-uh. The girl who’s name is clah-ra is Australian, (I’m American) so I think the claire-uh pronounciation is more American.

Definitely [name_u]Clair[/name_u]-uh! That’s the only way I know it said and the other way just makes me think “claw”
