I would love to use the name [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f] after the character in Fahrenheit 451. I don’t like the name enough to use it as a first, but I think it would make a perfect middle. The only problem is that I cannot seem to find a good pairing for it.
Here are a few that I like but don’t seem quite right to me:
[name_u]Avery[/name_u] [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f]
[name_f]Della[/name_f] [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f]
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f]
[name_f]Naomi[/name_f] [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f]
[name_u]Piper[/name_u] [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f]
From your combos, I like [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f] the best followed by [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f]. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you pronounce the of [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f] the [name_m]French[/name_m] way (kla-[name_u]REES[/name_u])?
I think [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f] is a gorgeous name! Why not use it for a fn with nn [name_f]Claire[/name_f] or [name_u]Reece[/name_u]? [name_m]Just[/name_m] a thought…
From your choices I love [name_u]Piper[/name_u] [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f] and [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f]. Here are a few more to think about.
Hmm…
[name_u]Avery[/name_u] [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f] - [name_u]Avery[/name_u] is a nice but I do kinda prefer it as boys name in away. I think [name_u]Avery[/name_u] works really handsomely as a boys name. Suggestion [name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f]?
[name_f]Della[/name_f] [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f] - This name sounds really cool works well together. [name_f]Della[/name_f] is a quirky vintage dusty name, that strangely appeals to me. [name_f]Della[/name_f] [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f] sounds really cool. Another suggestion [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f]?
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f] - I dislike the name ‘george’ as well its variants including [name_f]Georgia[/name_f]. Suggestion [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f]?
[name_f]Naomi[/name_f] [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f] - A very delicate choice, [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] is very classy and elegant especially teamed with [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f]. [name_f]Noami[/name_f] [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f] is just pretty.
[name_u]Piper[/name_u] [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f] - I think [name_u]Piper[/name_u] sounds strange with [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f]. Suggestion [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f]?
All I can think of is “Good evening, [name_f]Clarice[/name_f]” from [name_f]Silence[/name_f] of the Lambs. Other than that this name is perfectly fine, and more beautiful with the spelling you have chosen.
@mischa: I have been pronouncing the name cla-RISS, although I don’t know if that is an accepted pronunciation.
From your combos, I like [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f] the best followed by [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f]. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you pronounce the of [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f] the [name_m]French[/name_m] way (kla-[name_u]REES[/name_u])?

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f] – Makes me think of sunshine-y summer days and bubbly personalities.

@mickie86:
That is neat to see some love for [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f]. It really isn’t “my style” but I like the character enough to use it. [name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_u]Reece[/name_u] would be such cute nn’s if I liked it enough for a first though!
@whirligig: Thanks for the feedback. I don’t know why, but I really like [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f] as well.
@tori101: Ooh, thank you for the combo-by-combo feedback – that’s the best. =)
