We are highly considering [name_m]Clark[/name_m] for a girl baby. It’s my grandmother’s maiden name, and my husband loves it. He likes ‘strong CEO girl names’ he said.
I like but I think it will take the right middle name for me to love it. Help?!
I taught the sweetest, most intelligent little girl called Cl@rk, and she made me really love the name for a girl, even though it isn’t for me personally. It sounds like a cooler [name_f]Claire[/name_f], almost. I also love that it has a sentimental familial tie for you!
Something really lilting could be perfect for [name_m]Clark[/name_m].
Yes! [name_f]Adore[/name_f] this for the familial connection for sure. [name_m]Clark[/name_m] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is really strong and classic - I’m a huge fan of masculine names for girls and love them most paired with feminine/classic middles.
I’ll also suggest:
[name_m]Clark[/name_m] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] (okay kind of obsessed with this!)
[name_m]Clark[/name_m] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
[name_m]Clark[/name_m] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] (love the idea of CJ!)
[name_m]Clark[/name_m] [name_f]Madeline[/name_f]
I would also suggest using [name_m]Clark[/name_m] as a middle or even for a double name! Something like [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_m]Clark[/name_m] or [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_m]Clark[/name_m] for a classic with a twist vibe or even something spunky along the lines of [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_m]Clark[/name_m] or [name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_m]Clark[/name_m]. Not sure your exact naming style, so these are just ideas of a general vibe.
It’s not my personal favourite I must admit but I like the familiar connection and it is one of my favourite boys names so I do love the name. I think ending the name with the E does make it more feminine but obviously you’ll probably want to stick with the spelling that suits your family ties.
I do love pairing neutral names with obviously feminine second names so here are some i think sound beautiful:
I like [name_m]Clark[/name_m]! Sweet, sharp, solid and kind of ‘effortlessly cool’ vibes! I do slightly prefer the [name_u]Clarke[/name_u] spelling, but [name_m]Clark[/name_m] is cool too!
[name_m]Clark[/name_m] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_m]Clark[/name_m] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] are balanced and work well!
I like it, especially with the family connection. And the show The 100 makes it familiar as a girl’s name (I’d be prepared to be asked if you’re a fan, but there’s nothing wrong with that!).
