I got some great insight on the girls forum for our #3 so now the search is on for a boy name.
I love vintage, classic names that aren’t too common or too Biblical (although a Biblical name is not automatically ruled out).
We have two daughters, [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_u]Kay[/name_u] (sometimes called [name_f]Evie[/name_f] prn eh-vee) and [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] (sometimes called [name_f]Midge[/name_f]). Here is my current list. Middles can be moved around and if you have any names to add to the list I’d love to hear them! Last name begins with S and is two syllables.
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] S.
[name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m] S.
[name_m]Willem[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m] S. - would it be constantly mistaken for [name_m]William[/name_m]?
[name_u]Alden[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] S. - would he be destined to be called [name_m]Al[/name_m]?
[name_u]Arlo[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] S. - is this too out there for most people?
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] S.
[name_u]Finn[/name_u] ? S.
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_u]Kay[/name_u], [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], and [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m] (or [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Willem[/name_m]) or [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] are my favorites.
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_u]Kay[/name_u], [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], and [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] all have the same # syllables/cadence, if you like that. I think it works and is cute, especially since they go by nicknames anyway, it doesn’t feel too matchy. Would [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] be [name_m]Harry[/name_m]?
[name_u]Arlo[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] though is my favorite on its own!
I really like the shorter names on your list as mn. I feel like your girls have shorter mn than fn and it would be a sweet trend to keep up for a third child. (Not super obvious to anyone but still a nice link).
[name_u]Alden[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] is my favorite from your list (I have [name_u]Alden[/name_u] and [name_u]James[/name_u] on my list too!), but I think [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] is best with your subset, which I love too! (We have settled on [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] for our next daughter).
