Classic name for Baby 3#

We are thrilled to be having [name]Baby[/name] #3 right before [name]Christmas[/name] and am already obsessing about the name. He/She will be joining [name]Jack[/name] [name]Louis[/name] and [name]Claire[/name] [name]Bonnie[/name]. [name]Louis[/name] is a MN passed down for 3 generations from my husbands side and [name]Bonnie[/name] is my [name]MIL[/name]'s name that passed away 11 months before she was born. We just loved [name]Jack[/name] and [name]Claire[/name] as first names… I feel like we have to go pretty classic with #3 as a sibset.

If its a girl we will probably name her [name]Natalie[/name] [name]Cathleen[/name] after my grandmother [name]Natalie[/name] and mom [name]Cathy[/name]…just happens that this will be a [name]Christmas[/name] baby which works, my only issue is the popularity. Our other girl name is [name]Katherine[/name]/[name]Kathleen[/name] so we could have the nn [name]Kate[/name] which has been my favorite name forever…I have regretted not naming [name]Claire[/name] this because I knew so many [name]Jack[/name] and [name]Kate[/name] sibsets but feel like [name]Jack[/name], [name]Claire[/name] and [name]Kate[/name] would break it up.

As for boys I am overwhelmed since so many of my fave’s have gotten super popular…thinking about the middle name [name]Phillip[/name] since [name]Phillips[/name] was my grandmother’s maiden name but it is also my FIL’s name and I know this sounds petty but I do not want him or anyone to think this child is named after him ( he got married again less than 9 months after my [name]MIL[/name]'s death)… most of the other MN names that have meaning for me have been used. I like [name]Patrick[/name] as a MN just not as a first name since our last name is very Jewish and I think it sounds odd.

Girls
[name]Natalie[/name] [name]Cathleen[/name]
[name]Katherine[/name] [name]Grace[/name]
[name]Nora[/name] [name]Cathleen[/name]

Boys
[name]Luke[/name] [name]Phillip[/name]
[name]Maxwell[/name] [name]Phillip[/name]
[name]Nathan[/name] [name]Patrick[/name]
[name]Benjamin[/name] [name]Phillip[/name] ( I love [name]Ben[/name] but my name is [name]Jennifer[/name], too weird?)
[name]Drew[/name] [name]Patrick[/name] ( cant decide if I would name [name]Andrew[/name] and call [name]Drew[/name] or just stick with [name]Drew[/name])

Any input or suggestions are much appreciated!
[name]Jennifer[/name]

I love all of your names, both boy and girl. If I had to choose one name from each category, I’d choose [name]Nora[/name] [name]Cathleen[/name] ([name]Natalie[/name] is a VERY close second) and then [name]Drew[/name] [name]Patrick[/name] (but have his full name be [name]Andrew[/name] [name]Patrick[/name]).

Good luck!

[name]Andrew[/name] [name]Patrick[/name] and [name]Nathan[/name] [name]PAtrick[/name] are my favorite for your boys names!

I love all your girls names though, I think [name]Natalie[/name] [name]Cathleen[/name] if the best! I don’t like [name]Grace[/name], it sounds pretty with everything and is commonly used so to me it just seems like a filler name!

Good [name]Luck[/name]!!

I love [name]Natalie[/name] but if you already regret not using [name]Kate[/name] for [name]Claire[/name], you maybe should do [name]Katherine[/name] [name]Grace[/name], which I also love. Or could you do [name]Natalie[/name] [name]Katherine[/name], nn [name]Kate[/name]? I really prefer [name]Katherine[/name] over [name]Cathleen[/name] but if you’re honoring someone, I understand. Of your boy names I really like [name]Luke[/name] [name]Phillip[/name]. [name]Patrick[/name] and [name]Andrew[/name] are also two of my favs. [name]Benjamin[/name] is great too, and I don’t see why it would be weird just bc your name is [name]Jennifer[/name].

[name]Nora[/name] [name]Cathleen[/name] and [name]Maxwell[/name] [name]Phillip[/name].

[name]Claire[/name], [name]Nora[/name] and [name]Jack[/name] or [name]Claire[/name], [name]Maxwell[/name] and [name]Jack[/name].

I love [name]Katherine[/name] [name]Grace[/name] for you, nn [name]Kate[/name]! My second choice is [name]Nora[/name] [name]Cathleen[/name]. [name]Andrew[/name] [name]Patrick[/name] is my favorite of your boys’ names!

Thanks for everyone’s input !

My fear with [name]Ben[/name] is that eventhough I call myself [name]Jennifer[/name], people constantly shorten to [name]Jen[/name] and then we’d have the [name]Ben[/name]/[name]Jen[/name] thing…

I love the suggestion of [name]Will[/name]/[name]William[/name] but we have close friends with a [name]William[/name] so that is out.

And I dont know if I am overthinking but it we went with [name]Drew[/name] and I am saying all 3 kids names [name]Jack[/name], [name]Claire[/name] and [name]Drew[/name] does it sound like [name]Drew[/name]'s name is [name]Andrew[/name] anyway?

Oh my goodness! Your last post is something I’ve thought of before!!! We love the nn [name]Drew[/name], but would probably go with [name]Andrew[/name] as the full name… It’s not my favorite boy name, so I’d probably wait to use it as a second boy name, but then I wonder about having ____ and [name]Drew[/name] sounding like __ [name]Andrew[/name] anyway! My husband looked at me like I was crazy when I mentioned that. I’m interested to hear what others think. In my situation, I’ll probably use [name]Andrew[/name] as boy #2 and call him [name]Drew[/name] and try to just not over-think the whole “and [name]Drew[/name]” thing. Good luck!!

I am so glad that you had the same thought marissalou and I am not totally crazy! I just don’t love [name]Andrew[/name] but I have another 29 weeks to decide…

one other name for a girl is [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Cathleen[/name] I forgot to include originally, my mother’s name is [name]Cathleen[/name] so I’d like to name after her in the MN spot if we dont use [name]Katherine[/name] as a first name.

I also agree that [name]Grace[/name] is a little generic. I always loved [name]Katherine[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] but I can name 3 other little ladies I know with that combo. Any suggestions for a MN for [name]Katherine[/name]?

I like [name]Katherine[/name] [name]Grace[/name] but what about:
[name]Katherine[/name] [name]Natalia[/name] (which goes better than [name]Natalie[/name] I think) or
[name]Katherine[/name] [name]Noel[/name] (pretty name, nod to [name]Christmas[/name] baby)

for a boy I love Benjamin Phillip. I don’t think it’s too weird, unless you are never called anything except Jen and unless you expect to never call him anything but Ben.

My first thought for you was [name]Timothy[/name], an underused classic which, in my opinion, sounds fabulous with [name]Jack[/name] and [name]Claire[/name]. [name]Timothy[/name] [name]Patrick[/name]!

I also like:
[[name]Jack[/name], [name]Claire[/name] and [name]Graeme[/name]/[name]Graham[/name]]
[[name]Jack[/name], [name]Claire[/name] and [name]Derek[/name]]
[[name]Jack[/name], [name]Claire[/name] and [name]Ian[/name]]
[[name]Jack[/name], [name]Claire[/name] and [name]Michael[/name]]
[[name]Jack[/name], [name]Claire[/name] and [name]Thomas[/name]]

From you list, I really like [name]Nathan[/name] [name]Patrick[/name]. I think it fits in fantastically with big brother and big sis. Good luck!!

With the third baby being [name]Kate[/name] or [name]Ben[/name], I can’t help but think of Lost, but that’s kind of a good thing because that show full of brilliant names. Why not [name]Cathleen[/name] with the nickname [name]Cate[/name]? I know it’s not the traditional route but I like it.

I like [name]Drew[/name] [name]Patrick[/name] and [name]Katherine[/name] [name]Grace[/name] . I was also going to suggest [name]Cathleen[/name] for a first with [name]Cate[/name] as a nickname, as pp suggested. I know a lot of people say [name]Grace[/name] is over used and common but I love it as a middle name so I’m partial:) I think [name]Jack[/name], [name]Claire[/name] and [name]Drew[/name] sound good as well as [name]Jack[/name], [name]Claire[/name] and [name]Cate[/name]/[name]Kate[/name]. I also liked the suggestion of [name]Katherine[/name] [name]Noel[/name].

I like [name]Natalie[/name] [name]Cathleen[/name] and [name]Nathan[/name] [name]Patrick[/name]

I like [name]Nora[/name] [name]Cathleen[/name] and Mawell [name]Phillip[/name] the best.

I am laughing since I had a cabbage patch kid named [name]Timothy[/name] [name]Patrick[/name]!

And we struggled with the whole Lost thing when naming [name]Claire[/name]–our girl list was [name]Kate[/name], [name]Claire[/name] and [name]Charlotte[/name] and it didn’t help when [name]Claire[/name] went nuts! I didn’t even think of it with [name]Ben[/name] though…I think it’s at the bottom of the list anyway because of the [name]Ben[/name]/ [name]Jen[/name] thing. My family /close friends only call me [name]Jennifer[/name] but people always shorten[name]Jennifer[/name] no matter how many times I say the full name.

I do like the idea of [name]Cathleen[/name] nn [name]Cate[/name]!

[name]Jack[/name], [name]Kate[/name] and [name]Claire[/name] are all LOST characters. That might not be a problem for you though, it wouldn’t be for me.

I know, I just cant get away from Lost but they were all on my list for years before Lost. I dont think it is a big deal since it’s already off the air and they are all common enough names.

I love [name]Jack[/name], [name]Claire[/name], and [name]Luke[/name] together. If you want to avoid the association with your FIL, why not just use [name]Phillips[/name]? [name]Luke[/name] [name]Phillips[/name] would be a fine name. I also like [name]Nathan[/name] or [name]Drew[/name] for you.
