[name]Katherine[/name] would go by [name]Kat[/name], [name]Robert[/name] by [name]Bobby[/name] and [name]James[/name] by [name]Jim[/name]. These 3 names are totally set in stone.
My ideas:
[name]Ruby[/name] nn Roo (I fell in love with this after listening to the Rolling Stones’ [name]Ruby[/name] [name]Tuesday[/name], but is it too close to [name]Robert[/name]?)
[name]Elizabeth[/name] nn [name]Libby[/name]
And now I’m stuck. What are your suggestions? Middle name would be [name]Mary[/name] or [name]Eleanor[/name]. I prefer something classic, versatile with a possible nn.
[name]Ruby[/name] isn’t a classic; [name]Elizabeth[/name] is the choice that fits with [name]Katherine[/name], [name]Robert[/name], and [name]James[/name]. [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name] is pretty.
If you love Roo, I’d go with [name]Ruth[/name]. Unlike [name]Ruby[/name], it’s a classic that would fit with the sibset. (Plus, [name]RUTHIE[/name]. So cute.)
I have a [name]James[/name] and [name]Katharine[/name] whom we call [name]Kat[/name]. I also love [name]Robert[/name] but it doesn’t work with my last name. We’ve considered [name]Elizabeth[/name] nn [name]Libby[/name] as well! My older daughter in [name]Clare[/name] so that or [name]Claire[/name] would be one of my recommendations. Since our taste appear to overlap, I’ll mention other names we’ve considered [name]Theresa[/name] nn [name]Tess[/name], [name]Sarah[/name], [name]Caroline[/name], and [name]Grace[/name].
EDA: Just looked at the names in your siggy, I think Emma would be a wonderful sister for Katherine.
I second [name]Ruth[/name] nn [name]Ruthie[/name]! Adorable!! AND to those who say [name]Ruby[/name] isn’t a classic, it totally is, at least where I’m from in small town USA!
Hmm…
Firstly loving the [name]Elizabeth[/name] suggestion she sounds so lovely with [name]Katherine[/name], [name]Robert[/name], and [name]James[/name]. This combination flows effortlessly. I also love the range of nicknames that go with [name]Elizabeth[/name] like [name]Libby[/name], [name]Eliza[/name], [name]Beth[/name], [name]Lizzie[/name], [name]Betty[/name] and [name]Betsy[/name]. I think she works effortlessly. I also love the combination [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Mary[/name] it’s just so classic. As for [name]Ruby[/name], yes she’s a classic, but it’s a popular choice in the UK and I’ve never really seen the attraction in it and don’t see why she’s so popular.
Suggestions:
[name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Mary[/name] - [name]Katherine[/name], [name]Robert[/name], [name]James[/name], and [name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Mary[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name] - [name]Katherine[/name], [name]Robert[/name], [name]James[/name], and [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name]
[name]Clementine[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name] - [name]Katherine[/name], [name]Robert[/name], [name]James[/name], and [name]Clementine[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name]
[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Mary[/name] - [name]Katherine[/name], [name]Robert[/name], [name]James[/name], and [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Mary[/name]
[name]Alexandra[/name] [name]Mary[/name] - [name]Katherine[/name], [name]Robert[/name], [name]James[/name], and [name]Alexandra[/name] [name]Mary[/name]
[name]Imogen[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name] - [name]Katherine[/name], [name]Robert[/name], [name]James[/name], and [name]Imogen[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name]
[name]Lillian[/name] [name]Mary[/name] - [name]Katherine[/name], [name]Robert[/name], [name]James[/name], and [name]Lillian[/name] [name]Mary[/name]
[name]Adele[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name] - [name]Katherine[/name], [name]Robert[/name], [name]James[/name], and [name]Adele[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name]
[name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name] - [name]Katherine[/name], [name]Robert[/name], [name]James[/name], and [name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name]
[name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Mary[/name] - [name]Katherine[/name], [name]Robert[/name], [name]James[/name], and [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Mary[/name]
Well, I think [name]Katherine[/name] and [name]Elizabeth[/name] are quintessential classics. A perfect pair! I would actually love to see [name]Mary[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] or [name]Mary[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name]. But either way, you can’t go wrong with what you have chosen.
What happened to [name]Theresa[/name] in your signature? I actually like that more than [name]Ruby[/name] or [name]Elizabeth[/name], but I really love those, too. I think all three options go really well with [name]Katherine[/name], [name]Robert[/name], and [name]James[/name]. What about [name]Julia[/name]? I think [name]Katherine[/name], [name]Julia[/name], [name]Robert[/name], and [name]James[/name] are lovely together, as well!
If your want classic, I would stick with [name]Elizabeth[/name]. [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name] is beautiful.
[name]Love[/name] [name]Theresa[/name] from your signature. [name]Jim[/name], [name]Bobby[/name], [name]Kat[/name], and [name]Tess[/name] is so lovely.
I don’t mind [name]Ruby[/name] but I don’t care for [name]Elizabeth[/name], sorry. Although a classic and timeless name, it is just too common for my liking. If that doesn’t bother you, than by all means use it. It’s a beautiful name [name]Ruby[/name] is better because it is a bit more uncommon but still classic and versatile. I like the nickname Roo; I think it’s very cute for when she’s little and as she grows older she can be called [name]Ruby[/name] if she chooses. I personally would suggest the name [name]Violet[/name]. It happens to be at the top of my list for a future daughter. It’s beautiful and classy and ages perfectly. I love the nickname [name]Vi[/name] [rhymes with MY]. Wdyt? The only problem I see with you using [name]Violet[/name] would be that your middle name options don’t go very well with it. [name]How[/name] abou [name]Violet[/name] [name]Marie[/name] instead of [name]Mary[/name]? I think it flows much better. [name]Hope[/name] I’ve
helped
You guys are so sweet! I do love [name]Elizabeth[/name], but there’s something about [name]Theresa[/name] I find classic and unique at the same time. That probably makes no sense… Anyway, I also like [name]Julia[/name] a lot (but I have a really bad association with it) and I love [name]Violet[/name], though I’m not a fan of the nn [name]Vi[/name]. And I agree that it doesn’t go too well with [name]Mary[/name], but it’s a family name and I wouldn’t want to change it. I like it with [name]Eleanor[/name], though.
