I’m an enthusiast, a mother of one, and a possible baby oven. And I need help. My daughter’s name is [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Claire[/name] (miller) and I have very little idea of a name for her sibling. We have thought about [name]Molly[/name], [name]Meredith[/name], [name]Elodie[/name], and now [name]Evelyn[/name] (loving more and more) with the middle name as [name]Faye[/name], [name]Faye[/name], [name]Faye[/name], and [name]Grace[/name]. Either middle name we would be content with… As a matter of fact, we are content with anything really. [name]Faye[/name] is my grandmother’s middle name, but [name]Grace[/name] and [name]Rose[/name] would also help honor her.
We are about 85% sure if we are indeed pregnant that we will have a girl… But just in case, we are looking at boy names as well.
Though those aren’t nearly as difficult. I have settled on Grissom [name]James[/name]…Though hubby has not. We both love the name [name]James[/name]…Dearly. But haven’t agreed on the second name. [name]James[/name] can be a FN or MN, we aren’t picky.
We would love either name to have the same feel as our daughter’s name. We are classic, a little old fashioned and I don’t want the name to be passe in two years time.
I feel like I just wrote a book! Any and all help and discussion is appreciated!!
[name]Evelyn[/name] with any of those middles would be particularly lovely with sister [name]Audrey[/name]! But all the others are very nice too. I could also see in a “classic” family…
[name]Anna[/name]
[name]Caroline[/name] (to me, just a gorgeous match to [name]Audrey[/name])
[name]Catherine[/name]
[name]Cora[/name]
[name]Daphne[/name]
[name]Diana[/name]
[name]Edith[/name]
[name]Elizabeth[/name]
[name]Eleanor[/name]
[name]Georgia[/name]
[name]Helena[/name]
[name]Jane[/name] (definitely not with a future [name]James[/name] first name though)
[name]Julia[/name] (maybe not if you want a future [name]James[/name]?)
[name]Laura[/name]
[name]Lucy[/name] (if you don’t mind the matching endings)
[name]Margaret[/name]
[name]Mary[/name] (if you don’t mind the matching endings, as with [name]Margaret[/name], I can tell you don’t mind M alliteration, and I think M is an especially nice alliterative letter)
[name]Nina[/name]
[name]Phoebe[/name]
[name]Susannah[/name]
[name]Theresa[/name]
[name]Violet[/name]
[name]Virginia[/name]
For boys, Grissom? It is surprising, but I suppose OK, a family name? I wonder if I am reading the post right. I’m not sure what names are like Grissom, but names like [name]James[/name] ([name]LOVE[/name] [name]James[/name] ), go with [name]Audrey[/name], maybe
I think [name]Evelyn[/name] [name]Faye[/name] (or [name]Grace[/name] or [name]Rose[/name]) is a lovely name for [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Claire[/name]'s sister. From your list, my second pick would be [name]Meredith[/name] [name]Faye[/name] as I think [name]Elodie[/name] is a little too close to [name]Audrey[/name] and [name]Molly[/name] sounds like a nn to me.
I like a lot of Jesba’s suggestions too and my favorites from these with big sis [name]Audrey[/name] are: [name]Cora[/name], [name]Daphne[/name], [name]Diana[/name], [name]Edith[/name], [name]Jane[/name], and [name]Phoebe[/name].
Some other suggestions are [name]Helen[/name] (I think it sounds better than [name]Helena[/name] with [name]Audrey[/name]), [name]Lavinia[/name], [name]Laurel[/name], [name]Lillian[/name], [name]Eliza[/name], [name]Imogen[/name], [name]Louisa[/name], [name]Irene[/name], [name]Alice[/name], and [name]Tabitha[/name].
These names are all so beautiful, but nothing is jumping out at me. We had [name]Charlotte[/name] slated for a while but were never totally loving it. When I thought [name]Audrey[/name], I immediately picked [name]Claire[/name] and that was it. No second thoughts, nada. This second bun is so much harder! and hubby is not making it easier. though, Hubby just hit me with [name]James[/name] [name]Glen[/name] for our boy…So i guess thats stuck lol.
I just picture [name]Evelyn[/name] as an elderly name, probably because it’s my grandmas. I like [name]Elodie[/name] best of these. [name]Audrey[/name] and [name]Elodie[/name] sounds nice.
[name]Chloe[/name], That’s my biggest worry. Def nn [name]Evie[/name]… but thats the part hubby hates. He stares me down and says, “Really? you want to name our daughter a pokemon? A pokemon!” i giggle.
[name]Evelyn[/name] [name]Faye[/name] is gorgeous! Perfect with [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Claire[/name] (which I absolutely adore by the way!). [name]Evie[/name] as a nickname I love too I suggested [name]Evelyn[/name] nn [name]Evie[/name] to my hubby and he shot it down too! Good luck it’s a perfect pair!
I’ve heard a handful of people say the same about Grissom and Grissle.
Hubby at first loved [name]Evelyn[/name] [name]Faye[/name] while I was stuck on [name]Evelyn[/name] [name]Grace[/name]. Now he is leaning towards [name]Evelyn[/name] [name]Grace[/name]. Does this still go as well?
