I like [name_f]Emma[/name_f] best as a first name, especially if you dislike the nickname [name_f]Holly[/name_f] for [name_u]Holland[/name_u]. You couldn’t go wrong with [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_u]Holland[/name_u] [name_u]Carter[/name_u] though, I think that is lovely!

[name_m]Ah[/name_m] yes, in fact, [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_u]Holland[/name_u] [name_u]Carter[/name_u] is a name we’ve been considering! Although our first choice has been [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_u]Carter[/name_u]…but I’m going back and forth now!

I voted for [name_u]Holland[/name_u]. To me it sounds like a beautiful, strong woman. I don’t think it should have a nickname but [name_u]Ollie[/name_u] is a cute option.

[name_f]Emma[/name_f] is great too but I’d love to meet a woman named [name_u]Holland[/name_u]. [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_u]Holland[/name_u] is a great suggestion!

I did like [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f], but I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_u]Holland[/name_u]. That is so pretty and cute and unique; I think it is a name most girls would love to have.

I’ve actually known quite a few [name_u]Holland[/name_u]’s, so I thought it was much more popular than it is, lol. I prefer [name_f]Emma[/name_f] to [name_u]Holland[/name_u]. Some people will shorten [name_u]Holland[/name_u] to [name_f]Holly[/name_f], but if you are on top of correcting them and calling her strictly [name_u]Holland[/name_u], then it won’t be a huge issue. People have tried to shorten my name my whole life, but my parents were adamant about me not having a nickname, so I never have. She may want to go by [name_f]Holly[/name_f] later in life, though. I think that [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_u]Holland[/name_u] or [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_u]Holland[/name_u]/[name_u]Holland[/name_u] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] would be lovely!

I am loving the suggestion of [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_u]Holland[/name_u]. It puts a unique spin on [name_f]Emma[/name_f] and as a bonus, she could go by [name_u]Holland[/name_u] if she wanted to do, due the popularity of [name_f]Emma[/name_f] or for some other reason. I know a [name_u]Holland[/name_u] and she gets called “Hol” a lot, but not [name_f]Holly[/name_f].

[name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_u]Holland[/name_u] [name_u]Carter[/name_u] is beautiful! If she really dislikes the popularity (though honestly I doubt she will), she can go by [name_u]Holland[/name_u]. [name_f]Emma[/name_f] is your favorite name, I think you should go for it!

I far prefer [name_f]Emma[/name_f]. [name_u]Holland[/name_u] feels very trendy and common. I have heard it a lot recently. [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_u]Holland[/name_u] is spectacular!

I prefer [name_f]Emma[/name_f].

Ooh, I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the NN [name_u]Ollie[/name_u]! That is so cute. Thanks for the suggestion

Thanks so much for your input! I think I would like to have that name myself, actually, ha! The more I say it, type it, and read it, the more I fall in love with it.

Wow, I didn’t realize that! And you’re right, we could correct people, but they’ll probably initially think of the NN [name_f]Holly[/name_f] when they meet her… Thanks for your input

You are so right, she could totally use her MN if she doesn’t want to go by [name_f]Emma[/name_f]. I love that it is a more unique alternative available to her. And, I don’t know why, but something about [name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_u]Holland[/name_u] sharing double letters (M and L) is weirdly very satisfying to me!

You’re totally right! She can use her MN. And I should stick to my all-time favorite name, shouldn’t I

Really? That’s interesting! I love [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_u]Holland[/name_u] too. I think that’s where I’m leaning toward

Thanks for your vote!

Oh these are both precious names! I have a soft spot for [name_f]Emma[/name_f] - so much that I used it as a middle name for my second-born  I voted for [name_u]Holland[/name_u] but could have easily picked [name_f]Emma[/name_f] too. I absolutely [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the suggestion of [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_u]Holland[/name_u]! And the nn [name_u]Ollie[/name_u] is super adorable! I was thinking of [name_f]Hallie[/name_f] as a nn for [name_u]Holland[/name_u] but once I read the suggestion of [name_u]Ollie[/name_u] I swooned and thought what an adorable nn! Great suggestions on this thread!

I like [name_u]Holland[/name_u] a lot but think [name_f]Holly[/name_f] would be a common nn as she gets older. I love the suggestion of [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_u]Holland[/name_u] too!

I like [name_u]Holland[/name_u] for all the reasons you listed.

[name_f]Emma[/name_f], despite its popularity, feels to me plain and indistinct. [name_u]Holland[/name_u] [name_u]Carter[/name_u] is zesty.

possible nicknames: [name_u]Olly[/name_u], [name_f]Lola[/name_f], [name_f]Lainy[/name_f], [name_m]Hal[/name_m]
