I’m in love with [name]Claudie[/name], an adorable, french name that feels flawless for me. It’s lovely and quirky, tasteful and sleek, and absolutely nifty, but still tres parisienne, as Nameberry put it.
I am sure that I will never use it, unless I relocate, but it’s still very pretty.

I know a [name]Claudia[/name] who only goes by ‘[name]Claudi[/name]’ but I must say, I prefer the ‘[name]Claudie[/name]’ spelling.
I don’t think the name sounds too French to be used in other countries. I’m from the UK and it doesn’t seem particularly out of place here.
I can’t picture the name too well on an adult. Although, she could always go by [name]Claudia[/name] as she gets older!
Where are you located now? While it’s certainly not a common name in most parts of the world, it benefits from that whole [name]Claudia[/name]/[name]Claude[/name]/[name]Claudette[/name] group of names, so I think it’s certainly approachable to most people.
Hmmm, [name]Claudie[/name] would be a little challenging for my family in Eastern Europe, but we’re talking very small isolated farm town where my name ([name]Caroline[/name]) poses issues for the C and the lack of -a ending. That said, I do think in most places, there’s enough global influence that it would be quite recognizable and you’d be just fine using it.

I love [name]Claudie[/name], but for me it will be a nickname for [name]Claudia[/name] or [name]Claudette[/name]. I am especially drawn to [name]Claudette[/name].
My in-laws & husband are from Lithuania and there are a lot of names I’ve had to let go of because of accent issues but since Clau-diya wouldn’t pose a problem I think [name]Claudie[/name] would work just fine.
Well, to be more precise, the Balkans is where I am located, the country, especially, is declining in English, French, Italian, what have you names, unless you are a foreigner. There are acceptable spellings for some names, but those are names that are very global. [name]Ella[/name], for example, would be most commonly spelled [name]Ela[/name], [name]Sophia[/name] - [name]Sofia[/name], [name]Hannah[/name] - [name]Hana[/name], [name]Emma[/name] - [name]Ema[/name], etc. So yes, unfortunately [name]Claudie[/name] is a lost cause.
