I’ve been toying with the idea of using [name_m]Clay[/name_m] as a first or middle name for a potential son. [name_m]Clay[/name_m] is my husband’s grandmother’s maiden name and I know she would be really touched by the gesture…she’s a sweet lady
One thing, though. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_m]Clay[/name_m] is substantial enough as a name? I did know a little boy named [name_m]Clay[/name_m] and he wore the name very well. I just don’t like any longer versions, like [name_m]Clayton[/name_m]. We work with a burly, jerk of a man named [name_m]Clayton[/name_m] plus are Disney fans, so of course think about the [name_m]Tarzan[/name_m] villain…so that would be a dealbreaker.
What do you guys think?
I think [name_m]Clay[/name_m] works great as a first name! I’ve known a few Clays who wore the name well.
[name_m]Clay[/name_m] is very cute, you should go for it!
I love [name_m]Clay[/name_m]! I think it’s just fine on its own. I’ve known a couple
I love [name_m]Clay[/name_m]! It was nearly my brother’s middle name, and I almost wish it was. [name_m]Clay[/name_m] is perfectly substantial. It sounds cool and modern but also grounded. I would use it!
While I am someone who prefers to go with a fuller version of the name, I do like the sound of [name_m]Clay[/name_m] and not so much [name_m]Clayton[/name_m] :).
I never used to like the name [name_m]Clay[/name_m], but I’ve recently begun watching a really good show on Netflix (called “13 Reasons Why”), and the main character’s name is [name_m]Clay[/name_m]. I’ve grown to really like it, especially how soft and earthy it is. It’s way better than [name_m]Clayton[/name_m] in my opinion. Go for it!
