Clementine, Beatrice/Beatrix, or Agnes?

Could you please tell me which is your favorite out of [name]Clementine[/name], [name]Beatrice[/name], [name]Beatrix[/name], and [name]Agnes[/name]?

Thanks!

[name]Clementine[/name]. Then [name]Beatrice[/name]/[name]Beatrix[/name].

I really don’t see the appeal of [name]Agnes[/name], but each to their own.

[name]Beatrice[/name] or [name]Beatrix[/name]! I think the ending depends on one’s last name and, perhaps, on which version speaks to you more. I find [name]Beatrice[/name] more grounded and mature, confident and fiery like the Shakespearean character. [name]Beatrix[/name] seems a bit more spunky and fresh, like the author of the children’s books.

I like [name]Agnes[/name] next, though I think it will take a while for the name to lose its buttoned-up, nerdy image (perhaps your [name]Agnes[/name] would contribute to the revitalization?). While I had a French exchange student years ago by the name of [name]Clementine[/name], it hasn’t ever appealed to me. I think it’s sweet, but a little cutesy.

All the best!

1 [name]Clementine[/name]
2 [name]Beatrix[/name]
3 [name]Beatrice[/name]
4 [name]Agnes[/name]

  3. [name]Beatrix[/name]
  4. [name]Agnes[/name]

1 [name]Beatrix[/name] - the spunkier Latin version
2 [name]Clementine[/name] - sweetly vintage
3 [name]Agnes[/name] - great literary association but the “[name]Ag[/name]” is not the prettiest sound in the world!
4 [name]Beatrice[/name] - The name is a popular dairy brand where I live so I much prefer it with an “x”.

[name]Clementine[/name] and [name]Beatrix[/name] are my faves

[name]Clementine[/name] for it’s delightful nn of [name]Emmy[/name]
[name]Beatrix[/name] with a lovely nn on [name]Bea[/name] or [name]Trixie[/name].
[name]Beatrice[/name] also with nn of [name]Bea[/name]
Then luckily last [name]Agnes[/name] of whom you may call [name]Aggie[/name].

[name]Love[/name] then all.

[name]Clementine[/name], then [name]Beatrix[/name]/[name]Beatrice[/name] (honestly, I can’t decide which one I prefer), then [name]Agnes[/name].

[name]Agnes[/name]. I like the idea of [name]Clementine[/name] but it seems too out-there for me to use personally. [name]Beatrice[/name] seems too wimpy and personality-less for me to like (but it has been growing on me), and [name]Beatrix[/name] feels too strong as a FN. [name]Agnes[/name] is just right for me–sweet, French, unpopular. Although I don’t know if I could get over the general populous’s negative “old-granny” association to the name! :frowning: I adore it, though! I love the French pronunciation (ahn-YESS), and I think [name]Anya[/name]/[name]Annie[/name] would even be a cute nn using that pronunciation. (Although I do favor the more American [name]AG[/name]-ness, too!) I think something like [name]Agnes[/name] [name]Clementine[/name] would be lovely.

[name]Clementine[/name]!!!
Soooo cute. I love it.

[name]Beatrice[/name] and [name]Clementine[/name] are tied as my favorites, but I love them all!
