Clementine?

I haven’t really considered [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] much before, but it’s begun to grow on me quite a bit, and I’d love some feedback on it.

What do you think of [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]? Is it wearable in [name_u]North[/name_u] [name_u]America[/name_u]? [name_m]Can[/name_m] [name_f]Emmie[/name_f]/Emmy be a reasonable nickname for it?

Thanks!

Clementine is one of my favourites! It’s such a pretty, whimsical name and very wearable.

I suppose [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] could work as a nickname but to me it’s not overly intuitive; I prefer [name_u]Clem[/name_u], [name_u]Clemmy[/name_u] and [name_f]Tiny[/name_f]. I’ve also come across someone on Instagram whose daughter is [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] nickname [name_u]Lemon[/name_u], which I think is sweet.

I’m not from [name_u]America[/name_u] but I don’t see why it couldn’t work there.

I think it is wearable in [name_u]North[/name_u] [name_u]America[/name_u]. I personally don’t massively like [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], it’s just a collection of sounds I’m not super into.

It’s one of these lovely, long, “magical sounding” names to me, definitely wearable IMO. [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] is a great nickname!

I love [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], but I don’t know how usable it is everywhere. I think in an urban area you’d probably be fine, but in the rural Midwest where I am, it’d be ripe for teasing.

[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] is in my top 3!
It’s so sweet and I love the vintage feel. It’s autumn-y and just so pretty.
[name_f]Emmie[/name_f] definitely works! There’s also [name_u]Lennie[/name_u], if you don’t like [name_u]Clem[/name_u].

Clementine is gorgeous. Elegant, gentle and fresh! [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] could totally work as a nickname

Absolutely wearable! [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] so much!

Clementine is so pretty, elegant and graceful. [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] has a Christmassy nature vibe that feels warm and inviting. I think [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] is beautiful I also like the [name_u]Clemmy[/name_u] nickname but feel that [name_f]Emmie[/name_f]/Emmy nickname could work.
I hear this name being mentioned a lot by berries a lot of which are from [name_u]North[/name_u] [name_u]America[/name_u] this gives me an indication that it could work. But I’m British so cannot be sure entirely as to whether it’ll work.

I’m also from the U.S :us:, I think [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] is a beautiful name and quite unique because Americans tend to favor short sweet names like [name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], I say go for it I prefer that over the long C name like [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]

I love [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]! Totally usable in north america, and [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] is a perfect nickname!

Love [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] is adorable.

I love [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]!! I’m in [name_u]North[/name_u] [name_u]America[/name_u] and I definitely see it working here! There’s a possibility I’ll choose this for a daughter if my best friend doesn’t get to it first, which she probably will considering she’s having babies already and I’m not!

I was just reading the comments on this name on its page and jeesh, people are condescending. I don’t see how you’d be unable to be a pilot, cop, businesswoman, congresswoman, etc. with this name. I feel like I see those kind of ‘nobody could possibly take her seriously’ comments on a lot of more feminine names and it’s annoying lol.

I’m in the US! [name_f]My[/name_f] only worry is that people would sing “oh my darlin’” to her ALL THE TIME. That could get either annoying quickly. Otherwise, I think it would be fine.

I think it’s quite wearable pretty much everywhere. However, it is rising in popularity quite a lot at least on multiple forums I’m a part of; I don’t know how many people are actually going through with using it in real life though. I do see this name multiple times a day on posts and comments.

I’m honestly not a fan of it but that’s beyond the point. I do really wonder if it will become the next [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] or [name_f]Amelia[/name_f].

Thank you everyone  I live in [name_f]Canada[/name_f], and have never met a [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] before, so I wasn’t sure how it’d work here! I have to admit, I do love the Oh [name_f]My[/name_f] Darlin song, I sing it a fair amount with the kids I work with. Popularity really doesn’t bother me though, it’s totally not used where I live (but here, I’ve never met an [name_f]Emma[/name_f] under the age of 12, and it’s the #1 name for my province!).

I feel that about any name, tbh! But, then again, my great-grandmother spent almost 95 years going exclusively by [name_f]Dolly[/name_f], and she did just fine for herself in her career!

I like [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] but strongly dislike its unavoidable nn of Clemy.

I love love love [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]!
