[name_f]Girl[/name_f] number 3 is arriving shortly and though we have shortlist of about 10 names, as the time nears I’m really feeling [name_u]Cleo[/name_u]
I love [name_u]Cleo[/name_u] as a standalone name - however big sisters are [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] and I’m not sure how [name_u]Cleo[/name_u] fits and if I should give her a longer name with nickname [name_u]Cleo[/name_u].
I’ve always been a fan of [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and I think [name_u]Cleo[/name_u] could work as a nickname (bit of a stretch) though I also feel [name_u]Cleo[/name_u] to be strong and distinctive by herself and giving a longer name perhaps takes away from this.
Also my girls are [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Valentine[/name_u] (both have ties to warrior queens- [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] and I love how [name_u]Cleo[/name_u] does to)

It might be a tad odd that her name is so much shorter than the others but I think that’ll just help her feel set apart from her older sisters. I think it’s a great fit personally!

[name_u]Cleo[/name_u] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] could also be a choice!

I think [name_u]Cleo[/name_u] works really well but I also like [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] with it as a nickname. Maybe you could do [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] with an O middle name to make it seem less of a stretch? Maybe [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f], [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]?

If you go with [name_u]Cleo[/name_u], I like the last three especially [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] or [name_f]Jasmine[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Luna[/name_f] is too bare and cutesy especially compared to your others that have more heft.
If the length of name concerns you (I like [name_u]Cleo[/name_u] on its own but I can see how you might want to lengthen), in addition to [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], you could use [name_f]Cleodora[/name_f] (which would mean [name_f]Luna[/name_f] could stay on the list ;)), [name_f]Cliona[/name_f] (if you want to keep the three syllable A names), [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] (as above, though maybe Clea/Claude/Claudie more likely to stick) or [name_f]Calliope[/name_f] (Clio/Cleo - NB [name_f]Clio[/name_f] is Calliope’s sister in mythic terms so maybe [name_u]Cleo[/name_u] if that would bother you).
I think I prefer [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] with your other girls names, with [name_u]Cleo[/name_u] as the nickname. I don’t think it’s too stretchy once you’ve introduced them.
