I like [name]Cleo[/name] better, I guess because it is the short version of [name]Cleopatra[/name]. [name]Clio[/name] makes me think of the [name]Renault[/name] [name]Clio[/name], even though I know it is a goddess or some mythology name.
I am also considering these names. I like the [name]Clio[/name] spelling but I may want to go with [name]Cleopatra[/name] as a first name and [name]Cleo[/name] as a nn. I am also torn. They both seem great to me. This is definetly a better choice than the overused [name]Chloe[/name]!!!
I like them both. I wouldn’t say I love either, but I do really, really like them. I like the look of [name]Clio[/name] much more, but I’d probably use [name]Cleo[/name]. I think the e spelling is just a bit more familiar.
I like them on their own, but I also like them as nicknames, depending on what the full name is. I don’t care for [name]Cleopatra[/name] or [name]Clementine[/name] (though I think both work), but I do like [name]Claire[/name], [name]Clara[/name], [name]Clarissa[/name], [name]Caroline[/name], etc. with the nn [name]Clio[/name]/[name]Cleo[/name].
I’m in a similar boat, I love the way [name]Cleo[/name] looks, but I think [name]Clio[/name] has so much more history, and it also looks like a full name to me, whereas I think [name]Cleo[/name] might be more often assumed as short for something
I love [name]Cleo[/name]! So pretty and fresh. [name]Clio[/name] (I) just reminds me of ‘clitoris’ and isn’t attractive at all to me (but I guess it’s okay?). I think it’s great as a full name or a nickname, and can used on a child just as much as a pet (which is why I didn’t vote for the last option).
I love the name [name]Cleo[/name] and think it is best as a nn for [name]Cleopatra[/name] but I also think it is pretty on its own. Actually I think I prefer [name]Cleo[/name] to [name]Cleopatra[/name].
On the other hand I cannot stand the name [name]Clio[/name]. Basically because I live near a town by the same name where I do most of my shopping. So I think of the town rather than an actual name. Plus I don’t think it sounds feminine enough for a girl.
