Cole?

I am loving this name so much. [name_f]My[/name_f] concern: do you just hear the word “coal” when you hear the name?

Not at all! I love this name, I think it’s very handsome and a perfect balance of cool/modern and traditional/grounded.

Seconding what @EagleEyes is saying. I think it’s a nice name. A personal preference is longer names but I do think it’s a good all around name. It is balanced.

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

Nah, [name_m]Cole[/name_m] is a well enough established name that I don’t immediately think of coal. I like it! I think that it’s polished & sleek & a little outdoorsy. Kind of a quiet & well put together vibe. I also like it as a nn for [name_m]Nicolas[/name_m].

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.

I don’t think of coal actually! [name_m]Cole[/name_m] is really cool and fresh

Nope! I think it sounds very fresh & classy! If you’re worried about the name just sounding like “coal”, you could try adding a syllable or two onto it (Example: [name_m]Coleson[/name_m], Colton).

I do think of coal, but I don’t think that’s a problem. It’s well established as a name at this point.

Loooooove [name_m]Cole[/name_m] !!
No to coal. Think of “ol king Cole” which is great

I’ve known a few Coles, so it just sounds like an ordinary name to me. I’ve seen the spelling [name_m]Coal[/name_m], though, which… nah.
