Colleen?

[name]Hi[/name] ladies, I’m back! Thanks again for the input on my previous forum post.

So what about [name]Colleen[/name] [name]Bailey[/name], to go with [name]Annabel[/name] [name]Lee[/name]? [name]Do[/name] you think that works? And then, we havent really thought about a boy’s name, but we think [name]Patrick[/name] [name]Andrew[/name] or [name]Carter[/name] [name]Andrew[/name]. What do you think? My hus like [name]Harrison[/name] though, and that was one of the suggestions from a user on the previous post; [name]Harrison[/name] [name]Andrew[/name]? I dont know, I dont know, I dont know.

As always, all suggestions and thought are greatly appreciated!

I can’t believe you want [name]Colleen[/name] [name]Bailey[/name]! Because one of the most beautiful, charming, witty persons I know is… [name]Colleen[/name] [name]Bailey[/name]. What a coincidence.

Anyway, I love the name [name]Colleen[/name]. It’s not common but it’s not out-there. It’s lovely.

BTW - the [name]Colleen[/name] [name]Bailey[/name] I know is 32.

To me it’s very dated. I knew four or five [name]Colleen[/name]'s back in grade school, so I associate that name with others that were also popular then (hence, “dated”) - [name]Ashley[/name], [name]Katie[/name], [name]Lauren[/name], [name]Tiffany[/name], [name]Jessica[/name], etc. Plus, I dislike [name]Bailey[/name] for a girl in general.

I like [name]Patrick[/name] [name]Andrew[/name] for a boy.

I like the idea of [name]Colleen[/name] [name]Bailey[/name] too, but beware many native Irish speakers think that [name]Colleen[/name] is a bit weird for a name. [name]Patrick[/name] [name]Andrew[/name] also gets my vote for a boy.

I have to agree with the dated post. [name]Colleen[/name] to me is not a young name…it’s very middle age to me. I have met a [name]Colleen[/name] recently (she’s in her 30s) and my immediate reaction was to think that such a dusty name did not fit such a vibrant person. Sorry. Maybe [name]Corinne[/name]?

I like [name]Harrison[/name] [name]Andrew[/name]!! [name]Patrick[/name] [name]Andrew[/name] is handsome but rather common for me - I know a LOT of Patricks, and even some with the middle name [name]Andrew[/name]. [name]Carter[/name] doesn’t do much for me.

I [name]DO[/name] think [name]Colleen[/name] is a bit dated, but I have such a soft spot for it. I had the most wonderful little girl in my daycare named [name]Colleen[/name] and it fit her so well - she was sweet and soft spoken and sensitive, I loved that child, so [name]Colleen[/name] just has a great association for me.

I really dislike [name]Bailey[/name], though and [name]Colleen[/name] [name]Bailey[/name] feels like a first and last name rather than a first and middle.

I like all of the boys names, but I think [name]Patrick[/name] is a real stand out - I never see it these days.

I had a friend names [name]Colleen[/name]. I think it’s a nice name.

I never be a fan of [name]Bailey[/name] but I like your combo.
It goes quite well with [name]Annabel[/name] [name]Lee[/name].

[name]Don[/name]'t be afraid to the “dated” issue. No offense to everyone, but I personally prefer a bit dated name than the way too popular one.
I think [name]Colleen[/name]'s nice.

I definitely get a dated feel from [name]Colleen[/name] as well, but how will a name every come back from being dated unless people start using it again? While it is nms I say go for it if it is a name you like and don’t worry about it. btw I really like all of your boy choices!

I also agree [name]Colleen[/name] sounds out-dated, but that isn’t a particularly bad thing. To me, it’s in the catorgary of ‘dated-but-still-usable-and-sort-of-cool’, like I can imagine it with sisters [name]Maxine[/name], [name]Vivian[/name], [name]Colette[/name], [name]Julia[/name] rather than [name]Stephanie[/name], [name]Tiffany[/name], [name]Ashley[/name] if you know what I mean!

Having said that, I really like it. I’m not a fan of [name]Bailey[/name] myself, but they do sound good together. I really like [name]Colleen[/name] and [name]Annabel[/name] as sisters as well.
