When you hear the name [name_u]Collier[/name_u] do you imagine a boy or a girl? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think it’s wearable? I’ve met people with it as a last name, but never a first. I was recently watching a video and this elementary school aged boy was named [name_u]Collier[/name_u] and now I can’t stop crushing on it.
No offence but I instantly thought of the dog breed. If it was a human like I saw it on something school related I’d probably think it’s a boy.
To me it kind of sound like [name_f]Collie[/name_f] mixed with Collar… But maybe that’s just me.
Seeing how last names as given names are on the rise, I think it would be usable. I imagine it on a boy, as names like [name_u]Parker[/name_u], [name_u]Grayson[/name_u], [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] etc. are typically boys names. They are starting to be used on girls though, so I guess [name_u]Collier[/name_u] could go either way.
It’s a boy name to me, and it follows the same trend as [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m], [name_u]Carter[/name_u], [name_m]Jones[/name_m]… I quite like it because it sounds familiar
I don’t mean this to be nasty, but giving honest feedback, I am like @copper_porcupine and think of a dog first. That said, if you like it, it sounds more masculine to me.
I immediately read this as cholera and also the dog breed came to mind.
Like some of the others a dog breed sprang to mind.
I think it’s completely wearable! I would definitely assume boy.
I would imangine it on a boy and don’t think it’s super useable because of [name_f]Collie[/name_f], a dog breed, being the root of the name
I know an adorable little boy named [name_u]Collier[/name_u]! It seems so sweet and endearing to me!
I really like it for a boy! I think it’s perfectly wearable and has the right amount of uniqueness, but is also very recognizable and easy to say/spell.
