Any idea on how to combine the two names [name]Beverly[/name] and [name]Bettie[/name]? They are my grandmas and I would love to figure out a way to honor both in one.
If not its okay, I just figure so many of you out there are so dang creative.

My only thought so far is ‘bea’ as a middle name, but the name we want as a first is also one syllable, and so is our last name. Is that too much?
Maybe a double barreled name? [name]Beverly[/name]-[name]Bette[/name] is kind of cute. I think [name]Bette[/name] works a little better than [name]Bettie[/name] for this.
I like the idea of [name]Bea[/name] as a shared nickname for the middle name. Bevie may also work.
[name]Beatrice[/name] maybe? It has the ‘[name]Bea[/name]’ beginning, and a ‘t’ too.
I would avoid a single-syllable first name. I have a single syllable last name too, ugh. Short/single syllable firsts just sound choppy and - short. Most of the time, she would be called by her first and last name…
Perhaps [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Ever[/name] or [name]Everly[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]? [name]Bettie[/name] would be a diminutive of [name]Elizabeth[/name], and [name]Ever[/name]/[name]Everly[/name] are taken from [name]Beverly[/name].
You could always do [name]Beverly[/name]-[name]Bettie[/name].
Or spell it [name]Beverlie[/name], getting the -ie from the name [name]Bettie[/name] while keeping the sound of [name]Beverly[/name].
[name]Beatrice[/name] is a perfect suggestion!
Hmm…
Difficult one! [name]Beverley[/name] and [name]Bettie[/name] I honestly don’t know how you would combine them to make a new name…!
Suggestions:
[name]Beatrice[/name] - has the length of [name]Beverley[/name] and includes the ‘t’ of [name]Bettie[/name]
[name]Bethany[/name] - has similar start of ‘[name]Bev[/name]’ ‘[name]Beth[/name]’ including similar ending of [name]Bettie[/name]
Bevie - has the nickname quality of [name]Bettie[/name] and is a variant of [name]Beverley[/name]
[name]Babette[/name] - has the length of [name]Beverley[/name] and has the ‘ett’ sound of [name]Bettie[/name].
[name]Bea[/name] - as obviously both names start with ‘b’ sorry running out of ideas
You could use names beginning with B:
[name]Belle[/name]
[name]Bridget[/name]
[name]Bianca[/name]
[name]Bonnie[/name]
[name]Benita[/name]
[name]Blythe[/name]
[name]Bronwen[/name]
[name]Brianna[/name]
Or you could use variants of the names to make a new combination. For example ‘[name]Bettie[/name]’ is a nickname variant of [name]Elizabeth[/name]. Obviously [name]Beverley[/name] is a name in her own right. But the name is closely linked to the more modern [name]Waverley[/name] as they have a similar sound. Due to this you could combine both [name]Elizabeth[/name] and [name]Waverley[/name] to make a very pretty more up to date combination that links to your Grandma’s. I like the idea of [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Waverley[/name]!!
Anyway hope this was of some help.
[name]Yvette[/name]? Y and V two Es from [name]Beverly[/name] from [name]Beverly[/name] and E and two Ts and the “et” sound from [name]Bettie[/name].
[name]Beverley[/name]+[name]Bettie[/name]
Bevette
Bettiley
[name]Evette[/name]
Everlette
[name]Lettie[/name]
Beterley
Bevvie
[name]Verity[/name]/[name]Veritie[/name]
Okay, some of those are not good suggestions. It was fun though!
