Combo help!

I think my first daughter, all being well, will be named [name_u]Ronnie[/name_u] (or [name_f]Veronica[/name_f]) but I’m struggling to decide on the combo. I love the sound of [name_u]Ronnie[/name_u] [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f] but I think she should have a more formal name so I’m leaning more towards [name_f]Veronica[/name_f]. However, I’m not sure that [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f] works?

So what would you choose?

Stick with [name_u]Ronnie[/name_u] as a stand alone name ([name_u]Ronnie[/name_u] [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f])?

Combine the names to come up with [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f]?

Or go with a totally different combo in [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f]?

Baring in mind [name_u]Ronnie[/name_u] is to honour my grandfather who passed recently, while [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] would honour my mother and [name_f]Belle[/name_f] my grandparents.

While [name_u]Ronnie[/name_u] makes a cute nn, I wouldn’t use it as a full first name for a little girl. It just feels a little too insubstantial, and if her full name was [name_f]Veronica[/name_f], she’d have a lot more options - a more formal name on resumes, [name_u]Ronnie[/name_u] for friends, etc. and I think that’d be the best idea.

I don’t personally have any problem with [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f]. I actually think it’s a lovely name, but so is [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f]. I think that while some people may be bothered by the double ‘V’, I think it actually sounds really interesting and [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] is quite different from [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] in sound. I do think [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f] LOOKS a little strange, but sound wise it’s fine imo. What about [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f] [name_f]Valentina[/name_f]? The flow is, admittedly, not as good, but it separates the names a bit if you’re bothered by their closeness.

If you wanted to honor your mother but change up the double ‘V’ with the double ‘A’ ending…

[name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_u]Valentine[/name_u] [name_f]Belle[/name_f]
[name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_f]Valen[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f]
[name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_f]Valenteen[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f]
[name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_f]Valida[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f]
[name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_f]Velora[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f]
[name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_u]Vida[/name_u]/[name_f]Vita[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f]

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] that helps!

I think you could keep the “double v” combo, but [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] as a middle seems clunky, because it’s so long right next to [name_f]Veronica[/name_f].
I agree that [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] should be the full name, simply so that she has options wherever she goes.

I like [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_f]Velora[/name_f], as suggested.
I also think you’d like [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]/[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], since it has a similar sound to [name_f]Lillian[/name_f].

[name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f]!

Have you considered [name_f]Veronique[/name_f]? It’s another option for [name_u]Ronnie[/name_u]. I agree that [name_u]Ronnie[/name_u] should be a NN, not given name. I find that [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f] flows a little weirdly with the two first names starting and ending in the same letters. [name_f]Veronique[/name_f] [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f] sounds wonderful, however!

Thank you for the feedback, it does appear that [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f] is the preferred combo. I don’t really have an issue with the double ‘V’ names but I’m not usually keen on both names in the same sound. I’m also not keen on changing [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] to anything else as it’s the ‘[name_f]Tina[/name_f]’ part that honours my mother. So any other ideas to honour [name_f]Tina[/name_f]? I do like [name_f]Florentina[/name_f] but again has the same issue as [name_f]Valentina[/name_f]. I find [name_f]Christine[/name_f]/a, [name_f]Justine[/name_f]/a very dated so not keen on those.

I like the idea of two Vs to give you the [name_f]Vivi[/name_f] nn option too. But if you’re looking to honour [name_f]Tina[/name_f] with a different name:

[name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_f]Celestina[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f]
[name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_f]Martina[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f]

Have you considered [name_f]Verona[/name_f] to get to [name_u]Ronnie[/name_u]? I love the connection to [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m]. I know a 2yo with the name and it’s darling!

I also wanted to suggest maybe keeping one of the honour names for a future child? You don’t have spend all of the honour names on one child.

I know a little girl names [name_u]Ronnie[/name_u] and it suits her well. I really adore [name_u]Ronnie[/name_u] [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f]. I’m not a huge fan of [name_f]Veronica[/name_f], it has a different feel compared to the other names for me. [name_f]Rosaline[/name_f] and its variations could possibly give the nn [name_u]Ronnie[/name_u] as well.
