Combos for baby no. 3

So I’ve been thinking about names that have been in our list for a while that we could potentially use for baby #3.
We both quite liked the name [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] but hubby is [name_m]Daniel[/name_m]… we decided it was too close even though they’d probably go by [name_m]Nate[/name_m]… do you agree?
So that being said I’m wondering if it might be a good middle name option. Our other two boys both have family names in the middle (from grandparents or great grandparents) but I’m reluctant to use dads name in the middle because then only one of the kids has dads name… not sure what you think about this? So [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] might be a good middle option, just need to pick a first.
Otherwise other family names we haven’t used and could go in the middle are [name_u]George[/name_u], [name_u]James[/name_u], [name_u]Stanley[/name_u], [name_m]Frank[/name_m](prefer [name_u]Francis[/name_u]), [name_m]Graham[/name_m], [name_m]John[/name_m] and [name_m]Frederick[/name_m].
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] was on our list as a first name for both other pregnancies, not sure what held it back. So maybe [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]? Wdyt? Brothers are [name_m]Louis[/name_m] and [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]. [name_m]Keen[/name_m] to hear your thoughts on combos for baby no. 3.
Thanks berries!

Ooo I’m very into your list.
[name_f]My[/name_f] personal favourites are [name_m]Frank[/name_m] and [name_m]Graham[/name_m]. I think they both work with [name_m]Louis[/name_m] and [name_m]Thomas[/name_m], but I think your whole list does.
[name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] seems like the perfect middle.

What about just [name_m]Nathan[/name_m]? [name_m]Nathan[/name_m] [name_u]George[/name_u] has a nice ring.

Other suggestions:
[name_m]Louis[/name_m], [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] &

Henry [name_u]George[/name_u]
[name_m]Elijah[/name_m] [name_m]Graham[/name_m]
[name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_u]Stanley[/name_u]
[name_m]Jacob[/name_m] [name_u]Francis[/name_u] “[name_m]Jake[/name_m]”
[name_u]Sean[/name_u] [name_u]Gabriel[/name_u]
[name_u]Miles[/name_u] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m]

We have similar tastes and I am in that same predicament if a third baby is another boy and I pass my partner’s name on ( also a [name_m]Daniel[/name_m]) :joy: as my two older boys don’t have his names. ( They have my mum and my dad’s middle names/variants)
In the end we decided we just wouldn’t pass on any of his names. [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m].
[name_f]My[/name_f] older boys are Zàchary [name_u]George[/name_u] and Alexànder [name_u]Theo[/name_u]. If we had a third son they would be [name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_m]Benedict[/name_m].

I personally love [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] with your boys names and I think [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] is a subtle nod to [name_m]Daniels[/name_m] name without being [name_m]Daniel[/name_m]. So [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Nathaniell[/name_m] gets my vote.

Henry [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] is awesome! [name_u]Love[/name_u] it with [name_m]Louis[/name_m] and [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]. Your family names are great, would you consider using them as a first? Any of them go great with your boys. You might like…

Reed [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]
[name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_u]Francis[/name_u]
[name_m]Edward[/name_m] [name_m]Graham[/name_m]
[name_m]Simon[/name_m] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m]
[name_m]Gideon[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_u]Julian[/name_u] [name_u]Francis[/name_u]
[name_m]Arthur[/name_m] [name_u]Stanley[/name_u]
[name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]
[name_m]Calvin[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]

Most of this first names I think you could pair with all your middle name options!

I really like [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]! [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Graham[/name_m] also sound nice. I don’t think [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] is too close to [name_m]Daniel[/name_m], but [name_m]Henry[/name_m] goes better with [name_m]Louis[/name_m] and [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]. Maybe [name_m]Nathan[/name_m]?

Although I like the name [name_m]Henry[/name_m] it is extremely popular where we live !
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] is handsome and goes well with his brothers .

I am totally digging [name_u]Francis[/name_u] ! [name_u]Francis[/name_u] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] … [name_m]Louis[/name_m] , [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] and [name_u]Francis[/name_u]

I also like [name_u]James[/name_u] but feel it’s also pretty popular

What about [name_m]Nathan[/name_m], nickname [name_m]Nate[/name_m]? [name_m]Nathan[/name_m] [name_u]Stanley[/name_u] stands out to me!

Henry [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] or [name_m]Nathan[/name_m] [name_u]George[/name_u] would be super handsome with your sibset

Also [name_u]Francis[/name_u] is nice and fits your S ending trend but I think [name_m]Franklin[/name_m]([name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]), [name_m]Louis[/name_m], & [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] would be a great trio

What about [name_m]Nathan[/name_m] instead of [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]?
Would you ever consider using some middles as a first? [name_m]Graham[/name_m] really stuck out to me.

Graham [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Graham[/name_m]
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_u]Francis[/name_u]
[name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]
[name_m]Nathan[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]

Thank you for your comments!
Unfortunately hubby vetoed [name_m]Nathan[/name_m] @FelicitySmoak . [name_m]Henry[/name_m] is pretty popular here too which might be one reason we didn’t go with it, I know a couple of people with little [name_m]Henry[/name_m]’s although they’ll be in school by the time we have a third. He also doesn’t like [name_u]Freddie[/name_u], [name_u]Stanley[/name_u] or [name_u]James[/name_u] as firsts. I’m avoiding [name_u]George[/name_u] in the first spot because of the [name_u]Royal[/name_u] association but [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_u]George[/name_u] is lovely thanks @ajenni10!
@anon25197097 your kids names are beautiful! Thanks for your perspective.
[name_m]Edward[/name_m], [name_u]Julian[/name_u] and [name_m]Calvin[/name_m] are great @rosejuliet will have to run past hubby.
[name_u]Francis[/name_u] and [name_m]Franklin[/name_m] are lovely too @Ehrob1 @wilkie8709. I know a couple of little girls named [name_f]Frances[/name_f] so I’m not sure if that’s swayed me to think of it as more feminine sounding? [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] is big for girls here in Aus.
@WildroseofJuillet I’m probably going to avoid [name_m]Graham[/name_m] in the first spot since it’s my grandfathers name (long story re family dynamics there!) but I’d consider it in the middle as an honour name.

Based on what you said I think [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] would make a wonderful middle! It’s a nice nod to your husband’s name.

The first name that jumped to mind after reading your list was [name_u]Francis[/name_u] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]. I think [name_m]Louis[/name_m], [name_m]Thomas[/name_m], and [name_u]Francis[/name_u] work together nicely while still being distinctly different. The combo would also become an honor name with a twist, which I love! It’s my favorite way to honor someone while still giving a child their own unique name.

I also love the name [name_m]Graham[/name_m], and [name_m]Graham[/name_m] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] would a great combo. It doesn’t sound as good with [name_m]Louis[/name_m] and [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] though.
