I’m unconscionably bad at recalling other people’s combos and even worse at remembering to whom they belong, but using user cards to cheat:
@Greyblue’s [name_f]Cherith[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] is just the epitome of loveliness. [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] adds a softness to [name_f]Cherith[/name_f], and although both names are (to me) zippy and energetic in sound, there is such a gentleness to the combo itself.
@Rosebeth’s daughter’s name is pure poetry. I listened to [name_f]Vienna[/name_f] (Billy Joel) yesterday and although I appreciated V’s name before, something about hearing that song in that moment made [name_f]Vienna[/name_f] itself and the entirety of V’s name combo so sweet. It felt like coming home, with just all the love in the world surrounding it.
@auroradawn — all three of her children’s names are beautiful, but I’ll always be in awe and in love with the knowledge that there is a sweet little girl out there called Deliverance [name_f]Elanor[/name_f], just preparing to turn the world upside down!
@daisymeadows — [name_f]Waterlily[/name_f] [name_f]Frances[/name_f] could truly be the name of my soul. Maybe that’s a really conceded reason to love a name, but it just speaks to me in such a special way and I feel so privileged to know it.
@emelfem’s [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] [name_f]Avis[/name_f] and [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] [name_u]Arden[/name_u] are everything beautiful and special about winter and I adore them. [name_u]Hero[/name_u] [name_f]Agatha[/name_f] is also just the most badass name!
@AerieEerie’s [name_m]Ozias[/name_m] [name_m]Dov[/name_m]. Literally just the most beautiful collection of sounds.
@ellerbea I don’t love [name_u]Bo[/name_u] and I don’t love [name_u]August[/name_u], but [name_u]Bo[/name_u] [name_u]August[/name_u] is the coolest name ever for a little dude that could honestly never not wear sunglasses because he’s just that cool!
@Bohemeregina’s newest addition, little Retr0 Oll!e, has the most fun name of all time, and big sis H@ppy C0rdelia has the name of a children’s storybook heroine and I can only imagine that she will someday be president. Please could you be in charge of naming all of the world’s new babies? Because I think [name_f]Earth[/name_f] would be a much more contented if we were all called something like [name_u]Zenith[/name_u] or [name_f]Poem[/name_f].
@McCharlie, every time I have the pleasure of seeing L’s name, it makes me want to go to some lovely little cafe, order a croissant and a coffee, and write poetry by the window, sun warming my face and my hands as I type. That’s weirdly descriptive, I know, but L’s name just has that little spark of magic to it.
There are plenty more, as I adore everyone’s own special favorite names and the combinations they arrange them in so masterfully, but I’ll leave it here for now!
I do want to give a shout-out to [name_f]Calla[/name_f] [name_u]Firefly[/name_u]’s mom real quick, though! I don’t think she’s around the forums anymore and her daughter was named long ago now, but I’ve always remembered that name. It was from my early days on Nameberry and it was one of the moments that I remember realizing the sheer power of names. Of course I loved and appreciated names before that (otherwise I wouldn’t have joined the site!), but just knowing that a person could have such a gift of a name, something so incredible and unusual in the best of ways, that just sparked a little ember in me that’s never gone out.
