I voted for [name]Julian[/name] [name]George[/name]. I don’t really like juniors and if you’re going to call him [name]Julian[/name] anyway, you might as well make it easier and name him [name]Julian[/name]. Unless you want [name]Julian[/name] [name]Michael[/name] [name]George[/name], I would stick with one middle name.

Ditto everything [name]Mischa[/name] said with the addition that I think [name]Julian[/name] [name]George[/name] has the best rhythm of the options. [name]George[/name] [name]Julian[/name] has all the “juh” sounds in the same place, so it’s heavy with that sound and the end of [name]George[/name] and start of [name]Julian[/name] run together. [name]Julian[/name] [name]George[/name] puts some space between them. Nice!

Thanks for the replies. [name]Julian[/name] isn’t DH’s MN, so he won’t be a junior. DH wants a junior, and I don’t, so we ended up with the compromise that the baby could have his FN and a different MN he’d go by. I’m just not loving [name]George[/name] [name]Julian[/name]. I’m afraid my husband isn’t going to go for his name in the middle though…[name]Ah[/name], well.

I asked this on the boys’ name board too, but maybe someone here can help me out…any suggestions on convincing DH to let his name drop to the middle spot? I would appreciate it so much!

My argument to convince him would be that it is a pain in the neck to not go by your first name. I’ve known a few people that went by their middle name, but it always gets mixed up in school and on anything official. In order to make things easier, often the first name gets completely dropped. My father in law goes by his middle name and has just dropped his first name (which he got from his dad) off of anything official. If your husband wants your son to keep [name]George[/name] in his name, it will be more likely to be seen and used in a middle spot. My FIL is just [name]Joseph[/name] lastname whereas your son could be [name]Julian[/name] [name]George[/name] lastname or [name]Julian[/name] G lastname. Does that make sense?

Good call, whit32. Thank you so much!

Keep the poll votes coming please!

I absolutely love [name]Julian[/name] [name]George[/name]! So handsome. Second choice would be [name]Julian[/name] [name]Michael[/name] [name]George[/name]–I’ve just always liked [name]George[/name] best in the last MN spot the best.
