I was curious to know what name combinations you think are overused. Not specific firsts or middles, but a name as a whole. I, for one, know way too many girls with the name [name]Madeleine[/name] [name]Rose[/name]. [name]Both[/name] [name]Madeleine[/name] and [name]Rose[/name] are beautiful, but [name]Rose[/name] is a filler and I would only use it as a first, and [name]Madeleine[/name] is great but I seem to know SO MANY girls called [name]Madeleine[/name] [name]Rose[/name]! I also think [name]Sarah[/name] [name]Emily[/name] can be a bit overused. What are your thoughts? Any comments are appreciated!
I hear a lot of the -bella names with [name]Grace[/name]. But middle names would be hard with longer, frilly names I guess, so I can’t blame them. It would be better than pairing it with another frilly name. That might be too sweet.
For a while, [name]Emma[/name] [name]Grace[/name] was popping up in the BA’s a lot locally. Plus I know 4 girls with that name in the 4-5-6-year old range. Also know a lot of [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Marie[/name]'s who are 9-10-11-12. [name]Sophia[/name] [name]Rose[/name] is common, [name]Aiden[/name] [name]Michael[/name], [name]Ella[/name] [name]Mae[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Mae[/name]…I know several kids with these combos.
i know a number of madeline graces but i still htink its pretty. also katherine/catherine/kaitlin elizabeth and the reverse - elizabeth kathryn
[name]Olivia[/name] [name]Grace[/name] and [name]Olivia[/name] [name]Rose[/name]!
Almost any combo with [name]Grace[/name], [name]Marie[/name], [name]Rose[/name], or [name]May[/name] as middles.
I’ve met a countless number of girls with the middle name [name]Marie[/name]. [name]Taylor[/name] [name]Marie[/name], [name]Lily[/name] [name]Marie[/name], [name]Aria[/name] [name]Marie[/name], [name]Isabella[/name] [name]Marie[/name], [name]Chelsea[/name] [name]Marie[/name]…
[name]Ellie[/name] [name]May[/name]/[name]Mae[/name] is a name I’ve seen over and over again working in a school. For a boy, it’s names like [name]Lucas[/name]/[name]Luca[/name] [name]Jay[/name] that I often see around where I live.
[name]Isabella[/name] [name]Rose[/name], [name]Chloe[/name] [name]Rose[/name], just anything [name]Rose[/name] really. It’s such a shame, because [name]Rose[/name] is so lovely, just dreadfully overused in the middle.
[name]Ava[/name] [name]Grace[/name]
[name]Emma[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Sophia[/name] [name]Rose[/name] —> I’m so tired of this combo omg.
I agree with previous posters about the middle name [name]May[/name]/[name]Mae[/name]. I think this will become the new [name]Grace[/name] and [name]Rose[/name] of this generation. It is a cute middle name though so I understand the appeal.
I feel middles are often the most overused with people going with fillers, I know so many people around my age with the middle names [name]Rose[/name], [name]Louise[/name], [name]Marie[/name] and annoyingly my own middle name, [name]May[/name], [name]May[/name] is a family name that is my Grandmas middle name and was my Great-Grandmothers first name so it has significance for me. I honestly couldn’t count the amount of boys I know with the middle name [name]James[/name].
[name]Isabella[/name] [name]Grace[/name] and [name]Sophia[/name] [name]Grace[/name] come to mind.
I’ve seen [name]Ava[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] pop up a lot too.
I don’t see that many way overdone combinations lately though, not the way I feel like it used to be with the [name]Jessica[/name] Anns and [name]Sarah[/name] Elizabeths
I personally really like what everyone calls the “filler” names. [name]Rose[/name] and [name]May[/name] have family significance for me though. They are just pretty, simple names that add to a lot of more frilly first names and complement them, in my opinion. I know several [name]Sarah[/name] Elizabeths though, from my generation. I also know a couple [name]Sharon[/name] [name]Rose[/name]'s, they are both older than me. I know an [name]Ava[/name] [name]Grace[/name] and an [name]Ava[/name] [name]Rose[/name]. I actually had [name]Madelyn[/name] [name]Rose[/name] on my list for a while, it was my hubby’s favorite.
[name]Emma[/name] [name]Claire[/name]
[name]Olivia[/name] [name]Grace[/name]
[name]Zoe[/name] [name]Grace[/name]
I hadn’t realised just how over used it was until I looked at the middle names of my preschool class: [name]Kyla[/name] [name]Rose[/name], [name]Mia[/name] [name]Rose[/name], [name]Isobelle[/name] [name]Rose[/name], [name]Sienna[/name] [name]Rose[/name], [name]Abigail[/name] [name]Rose[/name] and [name]Georgia[/name] [name]Rose[/name] ALL in one class!
Note to self: if I ever get my miracle daughter [name]Rose[/name] is VETOED!
[name]Emilia[/name]
My thoughts exactly. Are you UK based too by any chance?
Oh, and I’ve been coming across a lot of girls with the middle name [name]Nicole[/name] recently. [name]Lauren[/name] [name]Nicole[/name], [name]Andrea[/name] [name]Nicole[/name], [name]Vanessa[/name] [name]Nicole[/name], [name]Emma[/name] [name]Nicole[/name], [name]Isabella[/name] [name]Nicole[/name], [name]Megan[/name] [name]Nicole[/name]…
I know of 2 [name]Scarlett[/name] Roses. [name]Both[/name] [name]Scarlett[/name] and [name]Rose[/name] are beautiful, but the combo itself just seems very corny. Akin to “[name]Violet[/name] [name]Iris[/name]” or “[name]Olive[/name] Pizza,” or something like that.
Also, I know 3 [name]Ashley[/name] [name]Rene[/name]'s in my own generation.
