Come around to some names?

What names have you come around to most recently that you used to dislike? Or what names have you recently fallen out of love with?

I’ve come around to [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] which I used to dislike (but still haven’t warmed to [name_f]Maggie[/name_f]). I used to strongly dislike [name_f]Frances[/name_f] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] as a child, now I love them :blush:

For some reason fell out of favor with [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] which is unfortunate because I used to really like it, it’s one of the few names my husband loves too, and I LOVE potential nn’s Sephy, [name_u]Percy[/name_u], Persa, [name_f]Effie[/name_f], etc

For boys, I’ve recently fallen way back in love with [name_m]Victor[/name_m], [name_m]Casper[/name_m] and [name_u]Salem[/name_u] (boy or girl).

Fallen out of love: [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], [name_f]Colette[/name_f], [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f], [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] & [name_m]Casper[/name_m]. To a lesser extent I like [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], [name_f]Vera[/name_f] and [name_m]Malachy[/name_m] a lot less than I used to.

I’ve fallen in love with [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f], [name_f]Winifred[/name_f], [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] & [name_m]Augustus[/name_m] (though I still don’t get the love for [name_u]August[/name_u]).

I’ve lost the love of [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u], [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] & [name_f]Rayne[/name_f] which I used to like.

NB has inspired me to really like [name_f]Arabella[/name_f], [name_f]Winifred[/name_f], [name_m]Casper[/name_m], [name_u]Percy[/name_u] and [name_f]Thisbe[/name_f]!

I’ve fallen out of love with [name_f]Elodie[/name_f]. I used to think it was a beautiful name, but now I just can’t picture anyone over the age of 5 with that name.

I’ve fallen in love with [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] and [name_f]Harriet[/name_f]. I used to view them as “grandma names” but now I think they’re so beautiful and have some great nickname options!

I used to think [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] was a stuffy name, but after hearing it and falling in love with the nn [name_f]Gwen[/name_f], I really like it! Though personally, I prefer [name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f].

Eleanor used to be my favorite, but I’m realizing the more I hear it that I mostly like it for the nicknames, not the full name.

I also loved [name_u]Callum[/name_u], but it sounds kind of weird with my accent. [name_u]Emmett[/name_u] as well.

Starting to love [name_f]Selena[/name_f], [name_f]Ramona[/name_f], [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] and [name_u]Rhys[/name_u].

So funny that I’ve come around to a lot of the same names everyone listed! I wonder if hearing others rave about a name on NB can alter one’s perspective on a name?

I don’t feel like I’ve had much inspiration with names recently, but I’m starting to see the appeal of [name_f]Alice[/name_f]! As far as names that have fallen out of favor, I would say that [name_m]Anton[/name_m], [name_m]Leon[/name_m], [name_u]Noel[/name_u] and [name_u]Rudy[/name_u] fit that description. I never really made an attachment to any of them, so it wasn’t that heartbreaking to let them go. :blush:
