[name]Hi[/name] guys. I absolutely LOVED your feedback and some of your suggestions for the special middle name I needed for [name]Emily[/name] from my last post. So thank you! Based on some of these suggestions (and also a bit on my personal ideas and tastes), I now have a list of possible [name]Emily[/name] combinations. [name]Emily[/name] is definitely going to stay as the first name, I adore it despite the popularity issue. I want her to love and be proud of this name. What do you think of…
[name]Emily[/name] [name]Abigail[/name]
[name]Emily[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]
[name]Emily[/name] [name]Evelina[/name]
[name]Emily[/name] [name]Jane[/name] (Ok, there are probably millions of [name]Emily[/name] [name]Janes[/name] out there. But it’s still adorable!!)
[name]Emily[/name] [name]Annabel[/name]
[name]Emily[/name] [name]Catherine[/name] (family name)
[name]Emily[/name] [name]May[/name] (family name)
[name]Emily[/name] [name]Estella[/name]
[name]Emily[/name] [name]Cordelia[/name]
[name]Emily[/name] [name]Cordelia[/name] [name]Jane[/name] (I don’t usually like 2 middles but this is an exception - means I can call her [name]Emmy[/name] [name]Jane[/name])
[name]Emily[/name] [name]Quincy[/name] [name]Jane[/name]
[name]Emily[/name] [name]Jemima[/name] ("[name]Em[/name] [name]Jem[/name]" could possibly be a problem)
[name]Emily[/name] [name]Matilda[/name]
[name]Emily[/name] [name]Madeline[/name]
[name]Emily[/name] [name]Imogen[/name]
[name]Emily[/name] [name]Aurelia[/name]
[name]Hi[/name]! My first choice is [name]Emily[/name] [name]Catherine[/name], as I am partial to it (my daughter’s name)! My second choice for you is [name]Emily[/name] [name]Cordelia[/name], followed by [name]Emily[/name] [name]Pearl[/name].
You have wonderful taste in names
If you ever want your daughter to appreciate that beautiful name even more, make sure you see the film War Horse with her one day (maybe when she is a bit older). It features a beautiful French girl called [name]Emily[/name] (actually, probably [name]Emilie[/name]), and listening to her grandfather calling out “[name]EM[/name]-MEH-[name]LEE[/name]” in that lilting French accent could make anyone fall in love with the name. It was already my absolute favourite name, but watching the movie made me fall in love all over again.
Thanks, @aussie2! I will definitely take [name]Emily[/name] to see War Horse when she is older. She is 10 now, and all she wants to see is [name]Alvin[/name] and the Chipmunks.
Let us know which middle name you choose. I actually had a hard time choosing from your list! I love [name]Emily[/name] [name]Pearl[/name], by the way.
[name]Emily[/name] [name]Abigail[/name] - I think these are lovely together. If the point is a relatively rare middle name, be aware [name]Abigail[/name] is like #7 right now or something.
[name]Emily[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] - really like it!
[name]Emily[/name] [name]Evelina[/name] - really like it!
[name]Emily[/name] [name]Jane[/name] - I like this. I’m actually not so sure there are tons, [name]Jane[/name] doesn’t seem to get used as a “filler middle” as much as [name]Rose[/name] and [name]Grace[/name] for example.
[name]Emily[/name] [name]Annabel[/name] - pretty, but again, [name]Annabel[/name] is on the rise. I also think the 3-3 rhythm is a little clunkier here than with some of the other 3 syllable middles you’re considering.
[name]Emily[/name] [name]Catherine[/name] (family name) - very classic and wonderful. Rather on the common side, but I’ve never thought that’s so dad.
[name]Emily[/name] [name]May[/name] (family name) - very sweet. A little short, but special.
[name]Emily[/name] [name]Estella[/name] - OK, but I tink the rhythm is a little better with [name]Emily[/name] [name]Stella[/name]?
[name]Emily[/name] [name]Cordelia[/name] - really like it!
[name]Emily[/name] [name]Cordelia[/name] [name]Jane[/name] (I don’t usually like 2 middles but this is an exception - means I can call her [name]Emmy[/name] [name]Jane[/name]) - A good double middle!
[name]Emily[/name] [name]Quincy[/name] [name]Jane[/name] - appealing, although the matching endings aren’t my favorite.
[name]Emily[/name] [name]Jemima[/name] ("[name]Em[/name] [name]Jem[/name]" could possibly be a problem) - I also just think, if you’re in the US, [name]Jemima[/name] is a little bit much, maybe even in the middle. I think it’s beautiful, but if the point is to make sure she has a middle she’s likely to love, I think this one is risky (of course you can never predict how kids will react…)
[name]Emily[/name] [name]Matilda[/name] - [name]Love[/name] it! One of the best here.
[name]Emily[/name] [name]Madeline[/name] - pretty, but, [name]Madeline[/name] is another very popular name.
[name]Emily[/name] [name]Imogen[/name] - [name]Love[/name] it!
[name]Emily[/name] [name]Aurelia[/name] - Gorgeous!
I think [name]Matilda[/name] and [name]Aurelia[/name] are my top picks for you : D. Good luck!
Hey, nothing wrong with loving a name and using it, don’t let popularity put you off, [name]Emily[/name] will most likely always been a firm favourite amongst parents but at least it won’t ever “age” or “go out of fashion”.

[name]Emily[/name] [name]Madeline[/name]
