Complete our Sibset!

I used this site to help name our youngest daughter (well actually just her middle name) and have enjoyed reading the posts on this board ever since (when I get the chance).

I have 3 daughters: [name]Grace[/name] [name]Margaret[/name], [name]Sophia[/name] [name]Madeleine[/name], and [name]Isabel[/name] [name]Miriam[/name].

We are expecting a 4th little one in February and could use some help. Our daughter’s names were all names that my husband and I fell in love with when we first got married. We didn’t realize they’d become so popular between 1991 (the year we got married) and 2004 when [name]Gracie[/name] was born.

We decided on names we loved when we were newlyweds and we wanted 3 kids. We picked out 3 boys names and 3 girls names and that’s all we’ve ever gone with.

This 4th surprise baby has really put us in a tailspin as a far as naming goes.

[name]Do[/name] you have any suggestions for names that go well with [name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], and [name]Isabel[/name] that maybe aren’t so popular?

We also need boy name suggestions. [name]Henry[/name], [name]Jack[/name], and [name]Benjamin[/name] were our boy choices, but apparently they are super popular now too. This is what we get for not getting out much.

Thank you in advance.

they are popular names because they are simply gorgeous! you have great taste! since your other girls are so popular id stick to that. my choice would be [name]Ava[/name] [name]Meredith[/name] and [name]Jack[/name] [name]Benjamin[/name] or [name]Henry[/name] [name]Benjamin[/name] or [name]Jack[/name] [name]Henry[/name].

The poster above me is completely right. They are popular because they’re great names. You have lovely taste.
I think maybe you need another ‘simple’ name like [name]Grace[/name] to balance it out.

[name]Grace[/name] [name]Margaret[/name], [name]Sophia[/name] [name]Madeleine[/name], [name]Isabel[/name] [name]Miriam[/name] and [name]Ada[/name] [name]Meredith[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name] and [name]Rose[/name] [name]Matilda[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name] and [name]Claire[/name] [name]Maxine[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name] and [name]Lila[/name] [name]Maureen[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name] and [name]Ruby[/name] [name]Mae[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name] and [name]Kate[/name] [name]Minerva[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name] and [name]Jane[/name] [name]Matilda[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name] and [name]Catherine[/name] [name]Mabel[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name] and [name]Anna[/name] [name]Maxine[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name] and [name]Lucy[/name] [name]Matilda[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name] and [name]Emily[/name] [name]Meredith[/name]

[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name] and [name]Bennett[/name] [name]Jack[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name] and [name]Caleb[/name] [name]Henry[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name] and [name]Harrison[/name] [name]Jack[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name] and [name]Oliver[/name] [name]Jack[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name] and [name]Max[/name] [name]Benjamin[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name] and [name]Nathaniel[/name] [name]Jack[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name] and [name]Daniel[/name] [name]Henry[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name] and [name]William[/name] [name]Jack[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name] and [name]Lucas[/name] [name]Benjamin[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name] and [name]Adam[/name] [name]Henry[/name]

Did you want M for a boy, as well?
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name] and [name]Graham[/name] [name]Maurice[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name] and [name]Elliott[/name] [name]Maxwell[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name] and [name]Asher[/name] [name]Mackenzie[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name] and [name]Charles[/name] [name]Monroe[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name] and [name]Jude[/name] [name]Marlow[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name] and [name]Nolan[/name] [name]Mitchell[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name] and [name]Sean[/name] [name]Marshall[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name] and [name]Zachary[/name] [name]Madison[/name]

[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name] and [name]Isabel[/name] are all beautiful, classic names! I think [name]Henry[/name] would go brilliantly with them, even though it’s somewhat popular- it’s still a classic! If you were going to keep up the “M” middle theme I’d pair it with [name]Malachi[/name] (to keep the three syllable theme up, if you wanted) or something one syllable, like [name]Mark[/name]. I love [name]Maribel[/name] and [name]Matilda[/name] as middles for a girl. Some combos:

[name]Lillian[/name] [name]Matilda[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Matilda[/name]
[name]Amelia[/name] [name]Maribel[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Maribel[/name]
[name]Caroline[/name] [name]Maribel[/name]
[name]Alice[/name] [name]Matilda[/name]
[name]Evelyn[/name] [name]Maribel[/name]
[name]Katherine[/name] [name]Matilda[/name]
[name]Rose[/name] [name]Maribel[/name]
[name]Julia[/name] [name]Maribel[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name] [name]Matilda[/name]
[name]Rosalie[/name] [name]Matilda[/name]

[name]Walker[/name] [name]Malachi[/name]
[name]Julian[/name] [name]Malachi[/name]
[name]Andrew[/name] [name]Malachi[/name]
[name]Leo[/name] [name]Malachi[/name]
[name]Thomas[/name] Malchi
[name]Benjamin[/name] [name]Malachi[/name]
[name]Jack[/name] [name]Malachi[/name]
[name]Nicholas[/name] [name]Malachi[/name]
[name]Miles[/name] [name]Malachi[/name]
[name]Peter[/name] [name]Malachi[/name]

[name]Hope[/name] that helps!

Thank you! I do love [name]Ava[/name], but we have a niece named [name]Ava[/name].

alexandramae: Thank you for your suggestions. I really like [name]Lila[/name] (DH likes it with the h, wdyt?), [name]Jane[/name], [name]Catherine[/name] (nn [name]Cate[/name]), [name]Anna[/name], and [name]Emily[/name]. I like the idea of either [name]Minerva[/name] or [name]Matilda[/name] for the middle name.

For boys, we really like [name]Caleb[/name], [name]Harrison[/name] (nn [name]Harry[/name]), and [name]Oliver[/name]. For a middle name, we will probably go with an M name too because both mine and my husband’s middle names start with M. [name]Marie[/name] and [name]Michael[/name], how unique. Of the ones you suggested, though, [name]Maxwell[/name] is our favorite.

freckles: I like [name]Malachi[/name]! I always forget about that name, I’m not sure why. I like [name]Matilda[/name] for a middle name for a girl.
Of your suggestions, I liked [name]Amelia[/name], [name]Caroline[/name], [name]Alice[/name], [name]Evelyn[/name] (love the nn [name]Evie[/name]), and [name]Julia[/name] for girls and [name]Andrew[/name] and [name]Miles[/name] for boys. Thanks!

I love the names! I would use [name]Lily[/name] or [name]Lila[/name] for a girl and [name]Jack[/name] for a boy! I like the idea of using one of your other favorite boy names as a middle name. Best of luck!!

My oldest DD likes the name [name]Emily[/name] [name]Matilda[/name]…she says it “fits the bill”.

What do you all think?

Honestly since you have three very popular names already, I see no reason to stop now. If anything it gives you the freedom to use the names that we all love, but are too chicken to pick since they’re so popular.
For girls you might like: [name]Emma[/name], [name]Ava[/name], [name]Olivia[/name], [name]Emily[/name], [name]Chloe[/name], [name]Mia[/name], [name]Alexis[/name] ([name]Alexa[/name]), [name]Ella[/name], [name]Natalie[/name], [name]Lily[/name], [name]Hannah[/name], [name]Leah[/name], [name]Anna[/name], [name]Lillian[/name], [name]Savannah[/name], [name]Layla[/name], [name]Zoe[/name], [name]Audrey[/name]

As for boys, you’re right, but not totally. [name]Benjamin[/name] is pretty popular and is in the top 20. [name]Jack[/name] is around 40, so still pretty popular. [name]Henry[/name] is just over 80, so it’s not as popular as your other picks. However all these names are moving up the list rather than falling. I think all your male choices are nice and you should go for them. Also there is: [name]Ethan[/name], [name]Alexander[/name], [name]William[/name], [name]Noah[/name], [name]Anthony[/name], [name]Aidan[/name], [name]Logan[/name], [name]Elijah[/name], [name]Gabriel[/name], [name]Jackson[/name], [name]Dylan[/name], [name]Caleb[/name], [name]Gavin[/name], [name]Mason[/name], [name]Lucas[/name], [name]Isaac[/name], [name]Liam[/name]

While popular, your girls names are gorgeous. I would stick with the same tone - your original boy picks totally fit the bill. I think boy names are harder, or at least that has been my experience. I have a boy named [name]Liam[/name] [name]Christopher[/name] and a daughter named [name]Sophia[/name]. We are expecting our surprise boy in Dec/[name]Jan[/name] and are having the hardest time agreeing on a name. I love the names [name]Henry[/name],[name]Jack[/name], [name]Benjamin[/name], [name]Liam[/name], [name]Oliver[/name], [name]Alexander[/name], [name]Sam[/name], [name]James[/name] and [name]William[/name].Unfortunately, I can’t use [name]Sam[/name],[name]James[/name] or [name]Alexander[/name] as they are my nephew’s names and [name]Jack[/name] would be made fun of because of our last name ending in “ov” sounds like “off”. Perhaps you have some boy suggestions for me?

As for girls names there are so many beautiful names. I love [name]Emma[/name], [name]Claire[/name], [name]Clara[/name], [name]Julia[/name], [name]Kate[/name], [name]Madeline[/name] and [name]Marita[/name] for fist names.

I will be curious as to what you decide.

Good [name]Luck[/name]!!

I think [name]Grace[/name] [name]Margaret[/name], [name]Sophia[/name] [name]Madeleine[/name], [name]Isabel[/name] [name]Miriam[/name] and [name]Emily[/name] [name]Matilda[/name] are a perfect foursome of sisters - practically [name]Austen[/name]-like in their individual and cohesive beauty!

For boys, I like [name]Caleb[/name] [name]Maxwell[/name] or [name]Harrison[/name] [name]Maxwell[/name].

Update: Right now we’re working with [name]Henry[/name] [name]Matteo[/name] and __________ [name]Mathilda[/name].

Any thoughts? Suggestions?
[name]Jack[/name] is out because we never said it with our last name before and it sounds funny.

I like [name]Henry[/name], really I do. But for some reason it just doesn’t sound right to me with your daughters’ names.

Names that “seem” like [name]Henry[/name]:
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name], and [name]Owen[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name], and [name]Tristan[/name]

or maybe something a little more traditional:
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name], and [name]Andrew[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name], and [name]James[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name], and [name]William[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name], and [name]Joseph[/name]

I noticed that [name]Sophia[/name] and [name]Isabel[/name] are 3 syllable names, whereas [name]Grace[/name] is one syllable. Perhaps a one syllable boys name:
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name], and [name]Cade[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name], and [name]John[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name], and [name]Luke[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name], and [name]Jude[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name], and [name]Miles[/name] (or [name]Myles[/name])
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name], and [name]Reid[/name]

I also noticed that you like nicknames, a couple of the names I’ve suggested have nns that sound good with the nns of your kids.
[name]Gracie[/name], [name]Sophie[/name], [name]Bella[/name], and [name]Drew[/name] ([name]Andrew[/name])
[name]Gracie[/name], [name]Sophie[/name], [name]Bella[/name], and [name]Jamie[/name] ([name]James[/name])
[name]Gracie[/name], [name]Sophie[/name], [name]Bella[/name], and [name]Will[/name] ([name]William[/name])
[name]Gracie[/name], [name]Sophie[/name], [name]Bella[/name], and [name]Liam[/name] ([name]William[/name])
[name]Gracie[/name], [name]Sophie[/name], [name]Bella[/name], and [name]Joe/name ([name]Joseph[/name])
[name]Gracie[/name], [name]Sophie[/name], [name]Bella[/name], and [name]Johnny[/name] ([name]John[/name])

Honestly, I’m more inclined to go with [name]John[/name] as a boys name. It’s classic like [name]Henry[/name], its one syllable like [name]Grace[/name] which evens out the count and [name]Johnny[/name] is a really cute nn. Though I also like [name]William[/name], nn [name]Liam[/name]. Makes a great sibset.

And lets not forget the girls!

I wouldn’t use [name]Emily[/name]. It was #1 for 11 years straight and only recently fell to number 6.

Moving on though: All of your daughters’ fns are on the “Yupster names for girls” list. So you might consider another name from that list. Like:
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name], and [name]Alexa[/name] ([name]Lex[/name], [name]Lexie[/name])
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name], and [name]Amelia[/name] ([name]Mia[/name])
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name], and [name]Audrey[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name], and [name]Brooke[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name], and [name]Caroline[/name] ([name]Carrie[/name], [name]Carly[/name])
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name], and [name]Claire[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name], and [name]Eve[/name] ([name]Evie[/name])
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name], and [name]Francesca[/name]
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name], and [name]Julia[/name] ([name]Jules[/name])
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name], and [name]Violet[/name] ([name]Vi[/name])
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name], and [name]Zoe[/name] ([name]Zo[/name], rhymes with no)

Though my personal favorite would be the name [name]Jane[/name] with this sibset.
[name]Grace[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Isabel[/name], and [name]Jane[/name]
[name]Gracie[/name], [name]Sophie[/name], [name]Bella[/name], and [name]Janie[/name]

[name]Jane[/name] is 1 syllable which goes well with [name]Grace[/name], its not as “exotic” sounding as [name]Sophia[/name] and [name]Isabel[/name] which helps even things out, it has a cute nn…its kinda perfect imo.

[name]Hope[/name] this helps. I’m not sure how well the names I’ve given you go with your last name or the middle names you like though.
