Complete the sibset #3

[name_m]Hi[/name_m], I’ve asked this forum a few times already and hubby is pretty much set on a name but I’m not 100% sure. I’d like to see your top 5 girl names to complete this sibset: N@th@niel and O1iver. Our last name is Nickels. Maybe this is just what I need or maybe this girl will have no name  Thanks in advance!!

First 5 thoughts:
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f]
[name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f]

[name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], and…

  1. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
  2. [name_f]Juno[/name_f]
  3. [name_f]Clara[/name_f]
  4. [name_f]Thea[/name_f]
  5. [name_f]Iris[/name_f]

[name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], and

  1. [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] ([name_u]Penny[/name_u], [name_f]Poppy[/name_f])
  2. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] ([name_f]Elsa[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], [name_f]Beth[/name_f])
  3. [name_f]Lucia[/name_f]/[name_f]Luciana[/name_f] ([name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f])
  4. [name_f]Alice[/name_f]/[name_f]Alicia[/name_f] ([name_f]Alice[/name_f])
  5. [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] ([name_f]May[/name_f], [name_f]Merry[/name_f])

For the record, if it’s a worry, I think [name_u]Penny[/name_u] Nickels sounds really sweet. (I know of an [name_f]Iris[/name_f] Plant and a [name_f]Leona[/name_f] [name_m]Leonard[/name_m], so I don’t think it’s too matchy!)

@jonquils I thought I crossed off [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] but your sweet description just put it back on. [name_m]Ty[/name_m]!

So…hubby says he likes [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] nn Prim  We like the hunger games but that’s not the reason; he just really likes virtue names

What do you guys think about [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] with the boys’ names? We are in the US.

I like [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] with your boy’s names. It’s a bit fussy but I think it can work. [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] would be a really cute nickname option, but Prim and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] are so cute too.

  1. [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]
  2. [name_f]Clara[/name_f]
  3. [name_f]Helena[/name_f]
  4. [name_f]Diana[/name_f]
  5. [name_f]Julia[/name_f]

I don’t know that I would think to pair [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] with your boys’ names, but it could definitely work. It is not uncommon to have a somewhat different naming style for boys vs girls. O and N are definitely more familiar names, but are plenty of similarities between all three— easy to pronounce, have either English origins or a long history of English use, and literary connections, if you choose to see them- eg, British author [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] Cumming, authors N. [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m], O. Goldsmith, and all three names appear as characters in much loved novels. Most people will associate [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] with the Hunger Games (although the association may be less strong among her peers), but if it doesn’t bother you, then it’s not a bad thing.
