I have two completely different names that I want to add to my list and I really wanted to know your thoughts on them/your favorite combos for each name.
[name_u]Keely[/name_u]-I heard this name the other day and I’ve fallen in love a little bit. I think I would really like a traditional middle name for [name_u]Keely[/name_u]. Also, I was curious what the meaning of the name was also.
[name_f]Lana[/name_f]- I really like the hold Hollywood feel to this name. I’ve only known one [name_f]Lana[/name_f] but she spelled it [name_f]Lanah[/name_f].
I think it’s originally spelled [name_u]Keeley[/name_u] but there’s no spelling which seems more popular. It has an Irish origin and it means slender. it’s also used for boys. Some traditional middles for [name_u]Keely[/name_u] are:
[name_u]Keely[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_u]Keely[/name_u] [name_f]Florence[/name_f]
[name_u]Keely[/name_u] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]
[name_u]Keely[/name_u] [name_f]Helen[/name_f]
[name_u]Keely[/name_u] [name_f]Julia[/name_f]
[name_u]Keely[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_u]Keely[/name_u] [name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_u]Keely[/name_u] [name_f]Irene[/name_f]
[name_f]Lana[/name_f] is lovely too.
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helped
Thank you! I love [name_u]Keely[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. It’s usually not my style but I heard it recently and began crushing on it. I think it may be one of those names that will pass. I think [name_f]Lana[/name_f] will stick though.
[name_f]Lana[/name_f] is absolutely beautiful. I think it’s gaining popularity quite rapidly thanks to [name_f]Lana[/name_f] [name_u]Del[/name_u] [name_m]Rey[/name_m] (as much as I’m in love with her, I wouldn’t name my child after her). I know 2 baby Lanas born last year and in 2012 it was about #500 in the UK. [name_f]Lana[/name_f] [name_m]Turner[/name_m] is a nice reference - [name_f]Lana[/name_f] [name_u]Del[/name_u] [name_m]Rey[/name_m] named herself after her.
[name_u]Keeley[/name_u] is the ‘orginal’ spelling according to Nameberry but [name_u]Keely[/name_u] looks a bit neater. I actually sort of like it, more than I would expect myself to. But then I have a thing for Irish surnames on girls - [name_u]Delaney[/name_u], [name_u]Tierney[/name_u] etc. They’re so upbeat and playful but surprisingly feminine.
