Conan?

Thoughts? Is [name_m]Conan[/name_m] too strongly associated with O’Brien? Would it be weird since my husband’s name is [name_m]Brian[/name_m]?

I’ve never heard of [name_m]Conan[/name_m] O’Brien so I can’t be any help there. I think about [name_u]Arthur[/name_u] [name_m]Conan[/name_m] [name_m]Doyle[/name_m] first. It does have a cool sound and similar vibe to Bent0n

i have no idea who conan o’brien is - i love conan! i think it’s a very usable name that sounds familiar while actually being quite unique, and the nicknames are nice.

I think it’s too associated with Conan O’Brien, as someone who lives in the states!

[name_m]Brian[/name_m] is my husband’s first name.

Sorry! I didn’t catch that! I think it’s a little less of a problem, but personally I wouldn’t use it (just because I prefer baby names to have no association to them or one that’s positive to me!)

I think people (in US at least) would probably make the association when talking about them together- “Conan and [name_m]Brian[/name_m] came over”… but i don’t necessarily think it’s a bad association as long as it doesn’t bother you.

I used to watch [name_m]Conan[/name_m] O’Brien’s late night show regularly but that association has definitely faded for me, I didn’t think of it until you mentioned it. [name_m]Conan[/name_m] the Barbarian is my strongest association.
