I saw this a couple times as I logged on to nameberry … [name]Ottoline[/name] was in the popular names portion of the homepage, and not only have I never seen it before, it doesn’t look appealing to me at all. Can someone explain what this is about? Is it actually a popular name?
I love the name [name]Ottilie[/name] but am not sure how to pronounce [name]Ottoline[/name]–I realllly like it pronounced ‘[name]Otto[/name]-leen’, however!!
[name]Sienna[/name] [name]Miller[/name] just named her baby [name]Marlowe[/name] [name]Ottoline[/name] Laynge. Perhaps that’s it?
Yeah, I don’t know. I agree with [name]Sophie[/name] [name]Ellie[/name], that its probably due to [name]Sienna[/name] [name]Miller[/name]'s baby. But I think [name]Ottoline[/name] is probably in line for popularity because of the super trendy “O” beginning.
I think it’s pronounced like Auto-Leen. It’s nms but it’s a very stylish name.
Ahh … I didn’t know about [name]Sienna[/name] [name]Miller[/name] (actually, I don’t think I know who she is). [name]Marlowe[/name] is gorgeous though, so I approve there <3 I always think of the name Otto when I see it, and Otto is a boy’s name … adding -line to it just seems wrong.
I don’t really get the appeal or understand why Nameberry has it listed as French when it isn’t.
