Connery

What do you think of [name_u]Connery[/name_u] for a boy? I feel like it has a rugged but jovial sound, and is familiar (thanks to Mr. [name_u]Sean[/name_u] and the similar sound of [name_u]Connor[/name_u] and Conrad) but would be unexpected. [name_u]Sean[/name_u] [name_u]Connery[/name_u] I know would be a strong association (at least for older folks) but that doesnt bother me too much.

Yes, I definitely think of [name_u]Sean[/name_u] [name_u]Connery[/name_u] immediately (and I’m 20)! I don’t know if I could personally separate the name from him, but eh, if you don’t have the connection much then I s’pose it’s not a very big deal!

I don’t mind [name_u]Connery[/name_u]. It’s interesting and definitely feels both rugged and jovial. I think it’s also quite wintry and looks lovely all spelt out. It’s pretty nice!

[name_u]Connery[/name_u] is cool - good fun, rugged, and laid back - I like it

Definitely makes me think of Sean, so depends how much you’d want that association to be made I guess!

I love [name_u]Connery[/name_u] so much! It’s such an underrated name!

I know a boy named [name_u]Connolly[/name_u] and thinking you may like it and it avoids the association of [name_u]Sean[/name_u] [name_u]Connery[/name_u]. [name_u]Connolly[/name_u] is so handsome on this young man.

I think [name_u]Connery[/name_u] would be a fun choice! I do think of [name_u]Sean[/name_u] [name_u]Connery[/name_u], but if I heard it “out in the wild” I would just assume it was a family name.

Sounds like a slang term for swindling or defrauding:|

[name_u]Sean[/name_u] [name_u]Connery[/name_u] was amazing and I think this is a great name!

It is similar to a swear word in the [name_u]French[/name_u] language

I certainly like it better than any variation of [name_u]Connor[/name_u] (et al)!

[name_f]My[/name_f] first thought was that it sounded like the gerund for a ‘con’, as in ‘the criminals ran a long-con.’ E.g., “that’s some top-notch connery.”

Second thought is that it sounds like it could have been [name_u]Connor[/name_u], but someone wanted an homage to [name_u]Sean[/name_u] [name_u]Connery[/name_u].

[name_u]Sean[/name_u] [name_u]Connery[/name_u], and it sounds like an adjective version of [name_u]Connor[/name_u].
