Connor, Milla and ???

[name]Hi[/name] all!

We already have a [name]Connor[/name] [name]Riley[/name] and a [name]Milla[/name] [name]Isabel[/name]. [name]Baby[/name] no. 3 is on the way and I’m looking for some help!

For a girl I am in love with [name]Harper[/name] [name]Grace[/name] (although my husband needs a little working on!). I’ve loved the name [name]Harper[/name] ever since I read To Kill a Mockingbird as a child, but am concerned about what others (particularly our parents) will think. A couple of close friends that I have mentioned it to have said they love it too, but are they just being nice? What do you think - do you honestly like the name and if so, does it go well with the other two names?
Other girls’ names on my radar - [name]Lottie[/name], [name]Eden[/name], [name]Tully[/name], Airlie

If it’s a boy, I am totally stuck! The boys’ names I had on my list while pregnant with our little girl are: [name]Evan[/name], [name]Bailey[/name], [name]Aden[/name]. I’m just not quite sure of any of them this time. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you! x

[name]Connor[/name] and [name]Milla[/name] are lovely!

As for [name]Harper[/name] [name]Grace[/name], I imagine when people say they like it they are probably being honest! It is a popular name, especially in the US. However, to me, [name]Harper[/name] is strictly masculine and I find it hard to see the appeal of it on a girl. Also, I think with such distinctly masculine and feminine names like [name]Connor[/name] and [name]Milla[/name] already in the set, it seems odd to add a gender-ambiguous name like [name]Harper[/name].

I think [name]Lottie[/name] is your best pick. It goes with the nicknamey-ness of [name]Milla[/name], and the cuteness of [name]Connor[/name], I can definitely picture these three together. I also like [name]Eden[/name], that would be my second choice.

Some more suggestions:
[name]Connor[/name], [name]Milla[/name] and [name]Maisie[/name]
[name]Connor[/name], [name]Milla[/name] and [name]Poppy[/name]
[name]Connor[/name], [name]Milla[/name] and [name]Olive[/name]
[name]Connor[/name], [name]Milla[/name] and [name]Scarlet[/name]
[name]Connor[/name], [name]Milla[/name] and [name]Clara[/name]
[name]Connor[/name], [name]Milla[/name] and [name]Ruby[/name]
[name]Connor[/name], [name]Milla[/name] and [name]Isobel[/name]

I think [name]Evan[/name] is perfect for the boy! [name]Connor[/name], [name]Milla[/name] and [name]Evan[/name] … sounds amazing as a sibset to me, all the names gel so well together. But, if you’re not really passionate about it anymore, here are some other suggestions:

[name]Connor[/name], [name]Milla[/name] and [name]James[/name]
[name]Connor[/name], [name]Milla[/name] and [name]Oscar[/name]
[name]Connor[/name], [name]Milla[/name] and [name]Gabriel[/name]
[name]Connor[/name], [name]Milla[/name] and [name]Jonah[/name]
[name]Connor[/name], [name]Milla[/name] and [name]Elijah[/name]
[name]Connor[/name], [name]Milla[/name] and [name]Scott[/name]
[name]Connor[/name], [name]Milla[/name] and [name]Jack[/name]
[name]Connor[/name], [name]Milla[/name] and [name]Adam[/name]

I also like [name]Connor[/name], [name]Milla[/name], and [name]Evan[/name]!

From [name]Genevie[/name]'s suggestion, I like

[name]Connor[/name], [name]Milla[/name], and [name]Clara[/name] (begins with C like her brother, ends with an -a like her sister).
[name]Connor[/name], [name]Milla[/name], and [name]James[/name]

I like the name [name]Harper[/name] and I think it would work fine on a girl. My only thing would be that your other daughter has a very feminine name while this one would be more contemporary. But that’s okay. I really think that [name]Harper[/name] [name]Grace[/name] sounds good. As far as the other names on your list, I like [name]Lottie[/name]. [name]Eden[/name] has never been one that I really like, but [name]Lottie[/name] is cute. And for that matter, so is [name]Tully[/name]. [name]How[/name] are you pronouncing Airlie? I like Irish-like names, too, but not sure the origin of that one.

As far as boys go, I like [name]Evan[/name]. I’ve always been an [name]Evan[/name] fan. It’s cool, but not too trendy (in my opinion).

Overall, you have pretty names picked out, but now it’s a matter of choosing which one would work for you and your family.

Can I just say that I love the name [name]Milla[/name]? [name]How[/name] do you pronounce it?

I don’t mind [name]Harper[/name], but I think the middle name [name]Grace[/name] is so generic. Why not [name]Harper[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] or something? [name]Harper[/name] [name]Eloise[/name]? [name]Harper[/name] [name]Elodie[/name]?

I like [name]Evan[/name] and it definitely fits well with your kids’ names!

I don’t mind [name]Harper[/name] but I don’t think I like it as a sister to [name]Connor[/name] (ending too similar) or [name]Milla[/name] (style mismatch). I love [name]Lottie[/name] from your list. Like the others, I think [name]Evan[/name] is a great fit for a boy.

Other ideas:
[name]Lena[/name]
[name]Keira[/name]
[name]Teagan[/name]
[name]Cara[/name]

[name]Colin[/name]
[name]Logan[/name]
[name]Caleb[/name]
[name]Brennan[/name]
[name]Kevin[/name]

I love [name]Connor[/name] and [name]Milla[/name]! So cute. I love [name]Harper[/name] but not as much with [name]Connor[/name] and [name]Milla[/name]. I really like [name]Eden[/name] and [name]Evan[/name] from your list, but again not the best match. I like the idea of something with double letters, I love the previous suggestions of [name]Scarlett[/name] and [name]Brennan[/name].

My thoughts…
[name]Connor[/name], [name]Milla[/name], and [name]Violet[/name]
[name]Connor[/name], [name]Milla[/name], and [name]Annabel[/name]
[name]Connor[/name], [name]Milla[/name], and [name]Tatum[/name]

[name]Connor[/name], [name]Milla[/name], and [name]Thatcher[/name]
[name]Connor[/name], [name]Milla[/name], and [name]Greyson[/name]
[name]Connor[/name], [name]Milla[/name], and [name]Jameson[/name]

[name]Hi[/name]! Firstly, thank you to all who took time to make comments and suggestions for me, much appreciated! Sorry it has taken so long to reply, we’ve had a few issues with this pregnancy and I thought I might jinx things if I thought too much about baby names! Everything is going along fine now, and we’ve since found out we’re having another baby girl.

As for using the name [name]Harper[/name], my husband saw my list and declared his love for it (he hated it last pregnancy though - men!?), just as [name]Lottie[/name] was becoming a favourite for me. About two days later, Posh and Becks named their daughter [name]Harper[/name], which has totally turned me off it. I was already concerned about its rising popularity, now it will be even more popular!

I agree with the suggestions of a more feminine and perhaps “nick-namey” sounding name to match with [name]Milla[/name], and was encouraged by your comments about [name]Lottie[/name]. Also, the double T also matches the double letters in the other two names. I did, however, road test it on someone who told me they didn’t like it and would hate to have been named [name]Lottie[/name] (more of an acquaintance than a friend, so I guess they felt they could be honest!). They said it was only good for a nickname and when the baby was older they would need a real name. Thing is, I don’t like particuarly care to much for [name]Charlotte[/name] as a “proper” name and it’s taken by a friend anyway. My parents always wanted to name me [name]Nikki[/name], but thought I needed a “proper” name, which I absolutely hate as it was only used when I was in trouble! I’m a bit of a believer of naming kids what you intend to call them I guess. It has me thinking though, is [name]Lottie[/name] appropriate for someone in their 30’s, 40’s etc.?

Sorry if I’m rambling - I always seem to stress out over girls names! It would be a heck of a lot easier if I was having an [name]Evan[/name]!!

Are there any lovely nameberries out there with any new suggestions along the lines of [name]Lottie[/name]? I’d like something pretty, but a little bit different. And something to match with [name]Milla[/name], in particular. From your previous suggestions, I have always loved [name]Poppy[/name] but our last name is Pilkington and I’m afraid it would be too much of a tongue twister!

Many thanks!
