Connor's brother

Hello-

We posted about a month ago and since then my husband has come up with several other name options for our to be son. Big brother is [name]Connor[/name] [name]Jack[/name] [name]Dixon[/name]. Name options for sibling are [name]Luke[/name], [name]Rory[/name] or [name]Landon[/name]. [name]Favorite[/name] is still [name]Luke[/name] but we now like [name]Rory[/name] and [name]Landon[/name] as well. Middle name will be a family name, [name]Samuel[/name] or maxwell. I worry about a child’s ability to pronounce [name]Rory[/name] and that it is being used for girl names as well. Does [name]Landon[/name] sound ok with our last name? Thanks in advance for the thoughts!

I think [name]Luke[/name] flows the best with your surname. [name]Luke[/name] [name]Samuel[/name] [name]Dixon[/name] is my first choice. [name]Landon[/name] [name]Dixon[/name] is too matchy in sound. The name [name]Rory[/name] may be difficult to pronounce for a small child and more parents are choosing it for girls. I think [name]Connor[/name] and [name]Rory[/name] both have a prominent “or” sound in them so I find them too similar as well.

I really like the name [name]Landon[/name], but feel it does not work as well with your SN as [name]Luke[/name] and [name]Rory[/name] does. I think [name]Connor[/name] and [name]Rory[/name] make a fabulous sibling set! I really like [name]Rory[/name] [name]Maxwell[/name] [name]Dixon[/name], [name]Rory[/name] [name]Samuel[/name] [name]Dixon[/name], and [name]Luke[/name] [name]Samuel[/name] [name]Dixon[/name].

[name]Landon[/name] is really popular. I like [name]Luke[/name] and [name]Rory[/name] better, I think I would choose [name]Luke[/name] for you though. I wouldn’t worry about [name]Rory[/name] being used for a girl name though, all boy names are subject to be girl names as well as girl names for boys. Look at [name]Jessica[/name] [name]Simpson[/name]'s daughter [name]Maxwell[/name]. VERY masculine name on a little girl. I’ve also known baby girls named [name]Carsyn[/name] and [name]Mason[/name]. Which I think are all boy as well.

Thank you everyone. We went with [name]Luke[/name] [name]Samuel[/name].

[name]Luke[/name] [name]Samuel[/name] is very handsome. Congrats!

I have a [name]Rory[/name], and hes 4  he can pronounce his name, even with a speech issue and my 2 year old, with no speech problems can pronounce it perfectly. We have considered [name]Connor[/name] as a boy namefor number 4 but my cousin named her son connor, so its out, lol. Everyone LOVES his name, and ive never actually heard it used as a girls name, only a girls nickname. Often for [name]Aurora[/name].
