[name]Jeff[/name] brought up the name [name]Conrad[/name] yesterday and I actually like it and love the nn [name]Rad[/name] but i figured hey what would you guys think of the name, so be completely honest because we will appreciate it.
[name]Love[/name] it! It’s my nephews name. We thought we would call him rad too but it never stuck so we just call him [name]Conrad[/name], but I do like [name]Rad[/name] as a nn
I really like [name]Conrad[/name]: strong, masculine, unusual, rooted… I’m not super jazzed on [name]Rad[/name], but I think it works fine and stems from a great name.
I love [name]Conrad[/name]! It’s the name of the street I grew up on, so it holds a lot of great memories for me, and I really like the association to [name]Joseph[/name] [name]Conrad[/name], as well. It’s a great name.
i love it. My best friend is Spanish and her brother’s name is [name]Conrado[/name], the exotic Spanish version.
i think [name]Conrad[/name] is such a handsome name and i just imagine a successful business man with the name!
[name]LOVE[/name] this name!
Besides the nn rad do you think there are any others within the name? [name]Con[/name] sounds too much like a possible teasing name of [name]Connie[/name] imo.
I love [name]Conrad[/name], it was my great-grandfather’s name. I really don’t like the nickname [name]Rad[/name] or [name]Con[/name], I think [name]Conrad[/name] is fine on its own. I can see the name aging well, too.
My husband’s name is [name]Konrad[/name], as is his father’s. Our first son will also be. (It goes back almost a thousand years in his family). [name]Konrad[/name]/Conrads are often called [name]Konnie[/name]/[name]Connie[/name] in [name]German[/name], which I actually like but because of the prevelant use of it within our familiy we will use the middle name as his primary name. A common [name]German[/name] approach is to make the nickname out of the first letters or syllables of the two names together, i.e. [name]Karl[/name] [name]Konrad[/name] is Kako. My FIL is also called Konkie sometimes. It might not be so appealing outside the Germanic cultural setting.
[name]Conrad[/name] is cool…but it will age well too. Great choice!
I think a little boy would love having this name.
I love [name]Conrad[/name]! I think that it’s terribly underused, and I would be delighted to meet one. I named one of my first pets [name]Conrad[/name] and it isn’t really usable for me anymore, which looking back I think is a bit of a shame.
I love the sound [name]Conrad[/name] has–really strong but also quirky. I think of the little kid from the Books of Bayern series.
[name]Con[/name]/Kon is the nickname Superboy ([name]Connor[/name]) goes by in the DC comics, so personally I’m a fan of the nn [name]Con[/name] (and I think [name]Connie[/name] would be kind of cute, like [name]Donnie[/name] or [name]Lonnie[/name]) but I understand where you’re coming from with the teasing thing. [name]Rad[/name] isn’t my style but it works well too!
Good luck!
I love the [name]Konrad[/name] spelling of this name but my name starts with a K, and maybe its odd but i want each one of my kids to have a different letter then each other and [name]Jeff[/name] and mine so i ruled K and J out. I do like the possible nn coming from the fn and mn, everyone in my family and [name]Jeff[/name]'s ends up getting a nn some way or another so that’s why i keep bringing it up. I appreciate all the help so far and [name]Jeff[/name] is doing a little happy dance behind me and saying things like “I got’s mad baby naming skills” … dork anyway thank you all.
I love [name]Conrad[/name]. It sounds old fashioned and quirky yet classy. I love the nickname [name]Rad[/name]!
