What are your honest opinions and thoughts on [name_m]Conrad[/name_m]?
It’s currently on my list for middle names, but I’ve been thinking of putting it up front.
[name_m]Conrad[/name_m] isn’t very “stunning” to me, but it’s a strong, solid name that will serve a guy well. I imagine a [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] to be nice, cooperative, easy to work with, not the type to rock the boat unless something is going really wrong.
It’s a good, strong masculine name. Agree with pp, sounds like a sweet, dependable guy. I had a lecturer with this name, he was [name_m]German[/name_m] and maybe slightly eccentric (then again, most of my lecturers are!)
I do like the name; I like the meaning. My hesitation with [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] is always the beginning: [name_u]Con[/name_u]. I can’t get past it.
I have not heard the name much but feel it still feels comfortable (for a lack of a better word). I feel [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] is strong, handsome, and dignified. I really like it. Very nice name.
I like serious-sounding names like [name_m]Conrad[/name_m]. The only thing that makes me hesitate is lack of viable nickname options.
I like [name_m]Conrad[/name_m]. I have [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [something] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] on my list atm. It’s the name of the street I grew up on, so it’s quite sentimental to me. I don’t really like [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] up front, though–I think it’s mainly because I think of [name_m]Connor[/name_m], and I have bad associations with that, so I don’t really want a [name_m]Conrad[/name_m]. I think it is very cool as a middle, though.
One of the most smartest and truly gift men I’ve ever known was named [name_m]Conrad[/name_m]! To me [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] seems like that name that is not “stunning” when you hear it, but it pleasing. It’s never to popular, never to far of field. It’s a strong, smart name, and sound like a strong smart man.
I don’t mind the nickname [name_u]Connie[/name_u]. I know some would think it’s very feminine for a boy, but I like it.
I have a five month old [name_m]Conrad[/name_m]. We call him [name_m]Rad[/name_m] and [name_m]Raddie[/name_m] quite often, [name_u]Con[/name_u] every once in a while. We like that it’s a name everyone has heard of but is still unexpected; people definitely seem surprised when they hear it, but also seem pleased!
Thank you all for your thoughts!
I’m still not sure if I would move it to the first name spot just yet. I love the name, but not as much as my other favorites.
[name_m]Conrad[/name_m] has officially been moved to the list of names I would love to see on other peoples children. As much as I want to love it I can’t. I do like it, but not enough to use myself.
I love the way it looks on paper more than it sounds. Not sure why I love the way it looks…[name_m]Conrad[/name_m]…it just looks so perfect. But then when I say it aloud it sounds super nerdy to me. So I’m torn on this one. I do love the nn [name_u]Con[/name_u].
haha, I just saw this. my sentiments exactly
[name_m]Conrad[/name_m] is positively dashing. My current favorite [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] combination is [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] [name_m]Wesley[/name_m].
ooh see that sounds great…
I know a [name_m]Conrad[/name_m], we call him “C-rad” or just [name_m]Conrad[/name_m]. He’s smart and funny and generally a pretty cool guy, so this name gets a thumbs up from me!
