[name]Coral[/name] is my favorite by far! I think it’s just brighter & more modern feeling than the rest. [name]Coralie[/name] & [name]Coraline[/name] are about equal in my mind. They’re pretty but somehow stuffier & very old timey to me- which is on trend & might be more your style, which is fine. [name]Cora[/name] is my leasr favorite & just the same as [name]Corie[/name] to me.
In my mind…[name]Cora[/name] is at the mall, [name]Coralie[/name] & [name]Coraline[/name] are in a parlor with flowery wallpaper & fainting couches while [name]Coral[/name] is exploring in the woods.
That’s quite funny, actually! I love the Victorian era, so my very favorites are, of course, [name]Cora[/name] and [name]Coralie[/name] ![]()
My husband has always loved the name [name]Alie[/name] and it would certainly be a nod to my childhood friend, [name]Alyson[/name]. [name]Both[/name] of us are drawn to [name]Rosalie[/name]-- however, in my opinion, [name]Rose[/name] and its variants are just too overused for me to consider it a middle option (like the [name]Marie[/name]'s and [name]Lynn[/name]'s of my generation, although my husband wouldn’t agree). Adding [name]Cora[/name] only makes perfect sense, as Downton [name]Abbey[/name] is one of our great loves.
[name]Kinda[/name] shirked away from [name]Coralie[/name] for a while though, simply because of the meaning. I suppose the beach is growing on me since moving to NJ with my husband, but even at that, there are so many ‘attributes’ I would love to instill in my daughter through her name! If i were an avid scuba diver, had a caribbean honeymoon or even fond childhood memories at the ocean, etc, it would be personal, but in my situation, “coral” just doesn’t seem substantial enough, not fully satisfying… But then again, I seem to have found other associations and I’m definitely considering it as a middle to fn choice [name]Nadia[/name]. Coralie accents the unique beauty of Nadia, not over powering it, and bringing that classic, old-fashoined Victorian flare to her. Nadia Corinne nor Nadia Clarice (one of my favorites!!!) seem to fit the bill, as Nadia Coralie does…what do you think?
I just can’t seem to rule it out; I find it so very lovely and appealing
I chose [name]Cora[/name]. [name]Coralie[/name] is my second favorite. I used to be in [name]LOVE[/name] with the name until someone told me it sounded “country” – still can’t get over that!
[name]Coralie[/name] holds a soft spot in my heart. I love this name. I had it on my list forever, but decided to go with another name after some serious negotiations with DH.
Good luck!
I voted [name]Coralie[/name]. Never really thought about that name before, but it is really lovely. I also like [name]Cora[/name]. [name]Coral[/name] just reminds me of the trashy character from the [name]Tom[/name] [name]Cruise[/name] movie Coctail.
I’ve always loved [name]Cora[/name] and like the purity and simplicity of it compared to your other choices.
I love, love, [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Coralie[/name]!!! It has been on my list for years, and now that we just found out that I’m pregnant, it’s one of our top four options for a girl.
To me [name]Coralie[/name] has it all - a beautiful girly name with the options of the fun nn’s [name]Cora[/name] or [name]Coral[/name]. [name]Coraline[/name] is also really pretty, and I considered adding this to our list, but I worry that it will always be misheard for [name]Caroline[/name]. So my vote is for [name]Coralie[/name]!!!
I’d go with [name]Cora[/name]. [name]Coralie[/name] would be my nn for [name]Cora[/name]. I realize that makes no sense, but that’s how I see it.
[name]Coraline[/name] is too close to [name]Caroline[/name], which I prefer.
I’m having the same struggle! I love [name]Cora[/name], [name]Coralie[/name], and [name]Coraline[/name]. But in the end I think it comes down to that order.
I love [name]Cora[/name] as a nn for [name]Coretta[/name]. [name]Cordelia[/name] would be the runner up formal name, followed by [name]Coralie[/name].
I love [name]Coralie[/name] and [name]Coraline[/name] equally.
I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Coral[/name] with [name]Cora[/name] a close second.
If you look at my signature it should be obvious what I voted for ;).
([name]Coralie[/name] incase the signature doesn’t show up.)
[name]Coraline[/name]. Definitely. That book/movie was super creepy, but I loved it. And it has such a cool sound.
[name]Cora[/name] is my favorite (obviously). I love [name]Cora[/name]'s simplicity, spunk, strength, femininity, and versatility. It’s a name that makes me very happy, and it’s a bit hard for me to pinpoint why. I just love [name]Cora[/name].
I normally dislike [name]Cor[/name]- names but I think [name]Coraline[/name] is quite lovely.
