Which do you prefer and why?
Thanks!
I love the name [name]Clara[/name], so that one would get my vote. I’ve never liked [name]Cora[/name] but that’s based on the association I have with it. However, I think [name]Coraline[/name] is extremely pretty.
I love [name]Clara[/name]; not so much [name]Cora[/name]. of course, my best friend’s name is [name]Clara[/name] so that has a lot to do with it:-)
Out of those two, I prefer [name]Clara[/name].
If it was me though, I’d use [name]Claire[/name].
[name]Cora[/name] is cute, but I really only like it as a nickname for [name]Coraline[/name], which is beautiful.
AGH! That is the most difficult question I’ve heard in a long time!
I love [name]Cora[/name] and [name]Clara[/name], but I guess I would prefer to use [name]Cora[/name] because it would be pronounced the way I want it to. I don’t like the clair-uh pronounciation for [name]Clara[/name], I like the European one. [name]Cora[/name] is easier.
I like [name]Cora[/name]'s connection to [name]Persephone[/name] (via Korë). I like [name]Clara[/name] as a gorgeous classic. It’s honestly a toss up, especially since they’re sort of equally popular as well. In Norway, [name]Cora[/name] is basically unheard of while [name]Clara[/name] ([name]Klara[/name] mainly) is rising, so maybe I would choose [name]Cora[/name] regardless.
I prefer [name]Cora[/name]. It seems much prettier and soft as compared to [name]Clara[/name] with it’s sharp, sort of nasally A. I would like it better pronounced clah-ruh.
Besides that, I’ve been seeing and hearing [name]Claire[/name] and [name]Clara[/name] all over and I’m bored with it >.<
It is pronounced that way O_o Lol.
I prefer [name]Clara[/name] to [name]Cora[/name].
[name]Clara[/name] is pronounced clah-ruh in Europe but over here in [name]America[/name] most people would say claire-uh, which is why I made that distinction. And since I’m not sure which way the OP is saying it, I’m just simply saying I prefer [name]Cora[/name] because I know here [name]Clara[/name] would be claire-uh and dislike that.
[name]LOVE[/name] both and either would be a fabulous choice. I guess right now I’m leaning more toward [name]Clara[/name] because I’ve been seeing a lot of [name]Cora[/name] around Nameberry lately, so [name]Clara[/name] seems a bit fresher. I would [name]LOVE[/name] to meet a young [name]Clara[/name]!
[name]Clara[/name]! I love [name]Clara[/name]! It is the name we have chosen for our future daughter as well
Oh right, lol. It sounds really weird said like that, I agree with you.
I love [name]Clara[/name] pronounced clah-ruh. [name]Cora[/name] is a favorite of mine too. I like [name]Cora[/name] as a nn for [name]Coralie[/name].
I love both, with a slight preference over [name]Cora[/name]. I teach preK and have a small handful of girls named [name]Clara[/name], but never a [name]Cora[/name]. [name]Cora[/name] seems both antique and fresh and I think it would age well.
