I came across this name today (yes, reading through the social security baby names website on my lunchbreak) and kind of like it!
I’ve posted before about our other top 2 contenders: [name_m]Hayes[/name_m] and [name_m]Griffin[/name_m]. I’m still searching for some others that ‘feel right’. We want something unique but not weird-- just like everyone else looking for baby names I guess;) So I’ve been looking at names not in the Top 100.
[name_u]Corbin[/name_u] is unique without being weird and I really like the nickname [name_u]Corey[/name_u] that you could use. Also, though I still like [name_m]Griffin[/name_m], some people brought up the association with the legendary creature as well as [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] (plus Family [name_m]Guy[/name_m]) which I don’t love. [name_m]Hayes[/name_m] is still a little outside the box for me right now, but it is growing on me.
Big brother is [name_u]Hudson[/name_u]. We love his name, but don’t so much love how popular it is now. Which name do you think works best??
[name_m]Hayes[/name_m] [name_u]Michael[/name_u]
[name_u]Corbin[/name_u] [name_u]Michael[/name_u] nn [name_u]Corey[/name_u]
[name_m]Griffin[/name_m] [name_u]Michael[/name_u] nn Grif
Also, does it work with our last name: [name_u]Corbin[/name_u] Burdick—too many b sounds, or is it doable?
I so value your kind and honest feedback! This site is the best!!
I prefer your other two names. I see the merits of [name_u]Corbin[/name_u], but it’s personally not for me. Seems like just the next evolutionary fad making use of two syllable boys names starting with C and ending with an “en” sound ([name_m]Cayden[/name_m], [name_u]Camden[/name_u], [name_m]Colton[/name_m], etc.). I think he might seem unique but quickly blend in to all those names out there.
I like [name_u]Corbin[/name_u] but I like crows/ravens so the meaning is appealing. I do not like [name_m]Colton[/name_m]/[name_u]Camden[/name_u]/[name_m]Cayden[/name_m], fwiw. I do like [name_m]Cillian[/name_m], [name_m]Callum[/name_m], and [name_m]Connor[/name_m].
So [name_u]Corbin[/name_u] is good. But I must admit I hate [name_u]Corey[/name_u].
I like [name_m]Griffin[/name_m] but I like the mythological aspect, honestly. If you don’t, I might not use it.
I like [name_m]Heath[/name_m] more than [name_m]Hayes[/name_m], not sure why. I’ll have to think how I feel about [name_m]Hayes[/name_m].
[name_u]Corbin[/name_u] almost sounds a little girly to me. Maybe I’m crazy? Personally, I love [name_m]Griffin[/name_m]. [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] and [name_m]Griffin[/name_m] is an amazing set.
I think [name_u]Corbin[/name_u] is adorable. [name_u]Corbin[/name_u] [name_u]Michael[/name_u] sounds nice. If you aren’t sure, maybe look at other similar names like [name_u]Camden[/name_u] or [name_u]Carson[/name_u], like others have said. I don’t like [name_m]Griffin[/name_m], but [name_m]Hayes[/name_m] is an interesting choice as well. Either way your baby will be sweetly named!
