10 dollars bet [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] would top the poll by the end of the week, 20 dollar bet that [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] will be second, and 100 dollar bet that [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] will only have two votes.
I have negative associations with 2 of them - [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] because I know one who couldn’t stand her name and changed it when she was an adult (she’s smart and capable and always felt [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] was too silly and girlish for her) and [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] just has a country hick feel for me somehow - probably quite unreasonable on my part, but you did ask if any bad connotations. Whereas I love the similar [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and like [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]. I like [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f].
Oder of my preference:
I like them as a sibset stylistically, but [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] feels more trendy than the other two names.
I love [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]. I think it’s classic, feminine, familiar but not overly used, easy to spell and pronounce. It has a literary air about it to me. She could be [name_f]Cori[/name_f], [name_f]Delia[/name_f], [name_f]Didi[/name_f], all of which are darling nicknames.
My preference is [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] which feels strong and elegant. I like the Shakespearean vibe to it. [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] feels trendy to me and I’d prefer a different [name_m]Ad[/name_m]- name like [name_f]Adela[/name_f] or [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]. [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] is nms. That said, I think they could fit together well as sisters, they have a similar femininity about them.
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] is definitely my favorite. I don’t know why one person thought she would only have two votes. It’s a classic, romantic, strong, lovely name. [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] and [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] are fine, I have no bad feelings toward them, but [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] is special.
I love the [name_f]Rose[/name_f] in Roselie, the Shakespearen in [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] and the family connections (for me) in [name_f]Adeline[/name_f].
I voted for [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]… it goes on & off my list just because I’m never sure if I’m actually brave enough to use it. [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] & [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] are gorgeous as well! I would swoon over sisters named [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], & [name_f]Adeline[/name_f]!!
I voted [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] but I like all three! They all have a whimsical, feminine and frilly feel to me. They’d actually make an adorable sister set!
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] is probably very close second favourite, but I’d prefer [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] to [name_f]Adeline[/name_f]
Actually, completely the opposite!
