To make things difficult, I like [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Thea[/name_f].
I love [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f], but I am wowed by Corinthea [name_f]Briar[/name_f]. I truly like both combinations but that is a wow-name. [name_f]Thea[/name_f] is such a good nickname, and I think you could avoid any mix-ups with [name_u]Cortney[/name_u].
So torn because I love the name [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] but also love the nickname [name_f]Thea[/name_f]! [name_f]Briar[/name_f] as the middle though is amazing, regardless.
Both are such good choices! (I know, I’m being very helpful haha
)
Corinthea [name_f]Briar[/name_f] is gorgeous! I prefer [name_f]Cora[/name_f] to [name_f]Thea[/name_f] for nickname, however, [name_f]Thea[/name_f] is very nice.
I voted Corinthea, although I prefer [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]. I voted for Corinthea because I have unpopular unusual names on my list and I wanted to show you support for loving this beautiful unusual name. Corinthea is pretty, and so is [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]. I would like to tell not to shy away from unusual names!
I’ve never heard of Corinthea before but I like it and I really like [name_f]Thea[/name_f] too. However, I probably love [name_f]Cora[/name_f] more but I’m not particualry a huge fan o [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f], it’s just not my style. But with Corinthea you have both options of [name_f]Thea[/name_f] and [name_f]Cora[/name_f] and perhaps even Rinny for when your daughter goes through her rebellious teenage years and chooses her own nickname.
I think [name_f]Cora[/name_f] and [name_u]Courtney[/name_u] would be ok in the same family.
I just feel the need to say that I really like Corinthian for a boy, nn [name_u]Theo[/name_u] but everybody think I’m weird for even thinking it’s a name.
I’m excited to see that Corinthea was accepted so well. I was a little worried about posting it even though I’m generally not sensitive about names.
I love it, I love that it is a nod toward my favorite bible verse about love (love is patient, love is kind, etc.) in the Book of Corinthians.
Dh prefers [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_f]Briar[/name_f] though (out of these two choices) and so far [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] is winning the poll. I’m still hoping to sway him in the end. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though neither name may be used in the end.
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] by a mile. I’m really not a fan of Corinthea.
Corinthea sounds perhaps a bit religious (Corinthians is a section of the [name_m]New[/name_m] Testament, right?) If that’s your thing, I think it’s a wonderful name. If not, you might want to consider this association.
I adore both [name_f]Cora[/name_f] and [name_f]Thea[/name_f]. [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] too. Never heard Corinthea, and while it sounds pretty, my first thought was Corinthians. I suppose I could shake that and think of it more as a smoosh between [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] and [name_f]Thea[/name_f]. But I voted [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f].
