Corinne?

Hey, berries!

What are your thoughts on [name_f]Corinne[/name_f]?

I know a few women with the name. I’m not a fan of the meaning “maiden” but it’s still a nice name. I really like it with the nn [name_u]Cory[/name_u] (I like feminine full names with masculine nicknames). Other nns also work, [name_f]Cora[/name_f], Rinny, [name_f]Rin[/name_f], CJ if paired with a J middle name.

To me it sounds a little dated.

It’s cute. First association is with the girl from Pokémon, though.

I absolutely HATE the name because of associations. Obviously, I’m very biased but I’ve been waiting for the opportunity to rant about about my [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] hatred. :joy:

I like it and I like the meaning too.

It’s fine; I don’t really have any feelings about it one way or the other!

My cousins name is C0rrine and she never goes by a nickname and she’s in her mid 20s now! I like it!

I really like it. It sounds sleek and elegant, and reminds me of the singer [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] [name_u]Bailey[/name_u] [name_u]Rae[/name_u]. I have it on my list as a middle name.

Corinne is lovely. I can see it as a first name, certainly. But I usually place it in the middle because of the iambic syllables.

What middle would you pair with it?

Maybe [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f],
[name_f]Corinne[/name_f] [name_f]Celeste[/name_f]
Or [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] [name_f]Bianca[/name_f]

I took a [name_m]German[/name_m] class last year, and the prof’s name was [name_f]Corinne[/name_f]. I’ve always thought it was pretty cool! And i do like [name_u]Cory[/name_u] as a nickname
