Cosmina?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m], all!

I recently heard the name Cosmina and was hoping to get some opinions on it. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like the name? [name_m]How[/name_m] would you imagine a Cosmina to be (appearance, behavior/attitude)? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think it would age well?

I haven’t found much on Cosmina, but I’ve read some posts about [name_f]Cosima[/name_f]. Which do you prefer?

Not pregnant/TTC. [name_m]Just[/name_m] curious. Thanks for reading!

Cosmina is beautiful, but a little difficult to say. I prefer [name_f]Cosima[/name_f].

[name_f]Cosima[/name_f] is my favorite of those two. Cosmina, eh… I would often mis-pronounce it as [name_f]Cosima[/name_f]. Did it right when I saw it. The ‘mina’ part throws me off. I suppose it’s a pretty name - just difficult to say.

[name_f]Cosima[/name_f] sounds better for me because Cosmina is a bit difficult to pronounce. Another alternative would be [name_f]Cosma[/name_f].

[name_m]How[/name_m] funny! I liked Cosmina because I found it a bit easier to pronounce. I’m never sure if I’m saying [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] correctly. Apparently, that’s just me though.

I appreciate all the replies!

I definitely prefer [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] to Cosmina. Cosmina sounds extremely made up. Like a mixture of a pashmina and [name_f]Cosima[/name_f].

[name_f]Cosima[/name_f] is pronounced CAW-zee-ma.

I agree that Cosmina sounds made up. I prefer [name_f]Cosima[/name_f].

That seems to be the general consensus - that it sounds made up. I just want to point out though, that it isn’t. It’s a Romanian name. A famous bearer is Cosmina Stratan who shared the Best Actress Award at the Cannes Film Festival in 2012.

Thanks again for your thoughts!
